A couple of points:

1. Snopes lists its references so anyone can fact check their fact checks.

2. Breitbart is engaging in mind reading, which is itself "Fake News". I refer to this, from the article:

But now we know Snopes actually has an agenda here — and that is to abuse its power as a Facebook-recognized fact checker to blacklist the Babylon Bee, to get the openly Christian satire site algorithmically hidden and demonetized, which will effectively put it out of business.

But we now know... Really?

and, also from the article:

it is likely no accident that the Snopes’ attack and Facebook’s subsequent blacklisting threat occurred just after CNN’s Brian Stelter — a rabid left-winger and conspiracy theorist — published a tweet accusing the Bee of being a “fake news site”

It is likely no accident... Seriously?

It's bad enough that the left wind media engages in mind reading fake news articles, it's too bad the right wing does it also.

There is nothing wrong with those statements. In a court of law often "intent" (mind reading) is determined and judged by a series of actions. The drive by media do not have to outright say what they are doing to determine it. You may not like that but too bad.

The problem is Breitbart is a news site. Report the NEWS, don't interpret it or make conjecture on it. That is commentary, not news. There's far too much commentating going on disguised as news. For Pete's sake, take a look at Washington Post, if you can stand it. They are the leaders in this sort of "reporting".

That is your personal standard. Truth is every news sight is doing it. Not a single news sight out there that is not doing it or even doing it less. However, that is different than what I commented on.

Regardless of the rest, that Snopes would be fact-checking a satire site seems beyond bizarre. Snopes should lose all claim to credibility just for that. They should be forced to identify as a satire site or face being permanently banned. Either would be hilarious, but just deserts.

Why do you think snopes would be fact checking a satirical sight? Do you see a legitimate reason for snopes to do that or are they "reading the mind" of the Bee?

Seems telling that Snopes' fact checks of BB appear to be limited to articles satirizing the Left, while allowing satires of the Right to pass without comment. Merely happenstance?

Worse yet, these comments are are fabricated to deceive/stretch the truth/(lie!) in hopes of falsely persuading people to believe a lie by lovers of lies. I would not defend this action for either side...

The Babylon Bee | Your Trusted Source For Christian News Satire.

The top of the page states fake news you can trust. If you don’t find it amusing that’s fine. I don’t believe that makes them lovers of lies, they are just showing that we are not dullards who lack wit or humor. Don’t like humor? Don’t go.

There's no snopes whining about The Onion, is there? And they did report the Bee to Facebook, and the intent was to stifle free speech, these people are the left:

Seriously? They were meanies to their precious CNN comrades, the left sticks together. No sense of humor, either, unlike:

Oh, I see the humor, and the fact they are mocking the fake news is what makes it funny and probably well deserved. Thing is, their stories are often quoted and that little disclaimer is left behind so in effect when this news spreads it ends up doing the same kind of thing as the media that repeats fake news. Moral of the story is, 2 wrongs don't make a right, so I can't really defend their action. Either way it lacks in truth and this could be said to have ulterior motives even though the method has differences. You can rename the action as wit and humor but I expect the fake news organizations think they're pretty clever and being funny as well...
