From Larry Toto shared Shelly Crowley's photo.
'In 1890, two cowboys encountered a giant flying creature out in the desert of the Arizona Territory. They shot and killed the beast. The body was then taken to nearby Tombstone.

The April 26, 1890, Tombstone Epitaph listed the creature's wingspan as 16 feet and nearly 92 inches long, about 50 inches around at the middle, and had a head about eight feet long.

The beast was said to have no feathers, but a smooth skin and wing flaps "composed of a thick and nearly transparent membrane... easily penetrated by a bullet."

Could this animal have been the legendary Thunderbird of the Southwest?

Rev, if you look closely to the barn behind the men, it is the original Area 51 complex.

This is interesting, do you any more on this?

That is a pterodactyl, which are supposed to be extinct. I have seen photos like this before, I have no idea if they are real or not. There are also photos of a pterodactyl shot and killed by soldiers in the Civil War.

This photo may be real;

This photo has been around a long time and generally looks legit.

These next two are doubtful;

I don't buy this photo, the soldiers look too old, and way too well fed. Most Civil War soldiers did not get enough to eat, and rarely did their uniforms match so well.

Lots of work to make this look old, but again, the uniforms are too nice, and the soldiers too well fed. This photo has been around a long time though.
