Right, fat chance.
No pun intended, right?

Yeah, not like the consummate pro in the White House who can get a dozen scandals going at once and pretend they don't exist, and even better, get the media to pretend they don't exist.

Hey you got to admit it takes a bit of skill to juggle multiple scandals and come out unscathed.

He is indeed the consummate pro. But I believe he's getting a lil supernatural help with those.

Yes....how you do one thing is how you do anything.

I understand what you are saying, however your statement is too much of a blanket statement for me to agree with it.

Personally I would have to study his historical-political audit trail before I would consider voting for him having heard lots of "RINO" labels pinned on him.
Not that this alone would stop me.

What I have seen and the cause of my remark is that he appears to lack finesse, very Trumanesque (yes, I am old enough to remember Harry Truman).

Granted, he was quick to respond in a straightforward way which we have not seen from this present administration.

So OK, maybe I'm wrong and people do like this kind of behavior, people liked it in Truman (well not everyone) but this is a different time, the age of PC.

We can't have Chris Christie in the White House. I'm having a hard time believing he knew nothing about these bridge closings. He strikes me as a vindictive, two-faced bully.

I agree with you on this one. And if he didn't know it is a serious blow to his image as a good leader and manager.

I did find it refreshing that he did not try to hide the incident. If Nixon had been as forthcoming he would have come out looking like an honest good fellow.

Happens all the time. It called "being thrown under the bus".

I believe it was a couple of weeks ago that Drudge Report ran a headline about the GOP strategy being to tie Benghazi to Hillary 2016.

Perhaps picking off the GOP "frontrunner" was the Dem response. The Dem machine has still got some teeth.

Yes, and saved us from the Jimmy Carter train wreck that followed Ford. My dad voted for Ford but my mom for Carter simply because he said he was "born again." She still regrets that voting mistake.

I remember thinking that same thought, BUT, I really do not remember if I actually voted for Carter or not.
(Might just be one of those memories that the mind finds so abhorrent that it just throws the memory so far to the back of the mind that it can't be recalled.) :tongue3:

Its far more than lack of tact Hank...believe me...that's tip of the iceberg.

only help he's getting is from around the waist which kinda gives him a self-sustained buoyancy to float out of scandals.

Think about it.....your the governor of any state in the USA so you and your staff know about any big project going on in your state, right?!? So therefore he knows that the success of any big building right next to a vital bridge is a gateway to the NYC Metro area will rely on you supplying them multiple access roads to that bridge correct.... now you do the math and draw your conclusions.

I understand your point. But with computer simulation in a project such as you mention negates the need for onsite inspection and the closing of lanes IMHO.

I do not know if Christie knew or did not know about the lane closures. It does appear to me this is a case of his advisers being arrogant, vindictive and stupid.

2016 is still a long way off and much can still happen to help or hurt Christie.
