Just what is your position regarding civil law?
Follow the laws that Ceasar has created. Give to Ceasar what is Ceasar's and to God what is God's.
Do you advocate doing away with all laws, thus all law enforcement and all courts?
Let Ceasar create his laws. When those laws are consistent with God's law then obey them. When those laws would cause me to break God's law, then break Ceasar's law.

I am a citizen of the Kingdom of God first and foremost. My citizenship in the US is secondary and I pray for the peace of the city in which I live.

The "first and foremost" position is identical with my own, so that is not the issue here.

But if we're going to play the "Caesar-Caesar's" game, then for every Christian who is a US citizen, giving to Caesar what is Caesar's must include due diligence in informing and influencing the laws of the land to be ever more godly and prevent those laws from becoming any less godly. God knows there are far too many among "we the people" who are ignorant of what is right and what is wrong.

Please show biblical support for the bolded statement.
Paul was a Roman citizen. He is never recorded as trying to influence the laws of Rome. His only concern was Christ and being an ambassador of reconciliation. That is what every Christian is called to do.
What I observe is Christians in the US putting all their faith in government and in controlling government as if they will play God and shove morality down people's throats. They have made politics their idol and they turn on their political tv stations and radio stations to listen to their political priests who tell them what to do and how to act. It's open idolatry. God will not abide with his people worshipping other gods.

You think you see that but your judgment is not God's.

The problem is in treating the American form of government as if it were Rome's. As a citizen, you are a part of "We the People" (is that Caesar in this case?) which entails all of the duties of citizenship. As a Christian you have more responsibility to the welfare of the state than other citizens, not less. Praying is expected no matter the form.

But in America, you also have other access to influence besides. Quite frankly, your position sounds like a repudiation all the way up to Daniel and his friends, and Queen Esther and Mordecai. You sound like they should have 'refused to get involved.' But understand that I'm merely playing your "Give unto Caesar" game.
