Praise God, that this type of preaching is becoming less and less common here in South Central Texas. No wonder the younger generation doesn't want to go to church.

Once I saw Paula White on TBN and she definitely has this method down (called Tennessee Wind Sucking where I come from). Look at it this way. It gives you time to disgest the message as you go along instead of getting behind and missing the blessing. :D

Paula White is indeed a master, especially when she gets into finger-snapping mode and she goes into the momentary trance. She can take three minutes of material and stretch it to a half hour.

Oh my word!, you are absolutely correct..... that's where I've seen and heard THAT...... and on AM radio too sometimes. But I do remember wanting to listen to what Paula White was saying but was too distracted by all those plastic UHs and AHs that I couldn't tolerate it and changed the channel. I mean how could you possibly take that serious..... well......... besides the fact that she is a woman.

Ted Kennedy isn't even a preacher and he is known as the Wizard of ahs'. They will play a segment of a speach he has recently given on a local am radio station and if you can count the ahs' accurately you will win a mug or something.

Bothers the fool out of me, too. Hearing someone preach using three to five word phrases also annoys me. Another annoyance: I listened to a local pastor pray recently. Not feeling very spiritual at the moment, I timed his prayer...it was three minutes long. To make matters more interesting, I counted the number of times he used the name "God" (or Father, Jesus, Lord) during that 180 second prayer. Would you believe 42 times?

I also dislike a preacher saying, "You Know" after every 4 words.
