From the creation of the world refers to anytime after creation, such as 50 years ago or 2000 years ago or 4000 years ago.
The above is utter foolishness from Van. From the creation, (or foundation) means at that point in history. Since that point in time.

Jesus (God) is both the propitiation as well as the propitiator.
One off topic claim after another! Return to your copy of the NLT's Romans 3:25. Jesus was presented as the means of reconciliation. Whose predetermined plan was that? Read Acts 2.

Now from does not mean at any time from something. Endless false claims. Jesus Himself taught that from the foundation of world refers to anytime in the whole span from then to now. Read your bibles folks, these false teachers are unstudied. Luke 11:50-51

The NLT has an interesting Bible in Six Volumes:

1) Beginnings
2) Prophets
3) Poets
4) Chronicles
5) Kingdoms
and
6) Messiah (the NT)

Thus the order of the books differs from what you may have expected.

Referring now to the Messiah (the New Testament) here is how the books are arranged in some of its sections:

First grouping section includes Luke's and Paul's writings:
Luke-Acts page 1-110
1 Thessalonians page 111-118
2 Thessalonians page 119 - 124
1 Corinthians page 125 - 148
2 Corinthians page 149 - 164
Galatians page 165 - 176
Romans page 177 - 202
Philemon page 203 - 206
Colossians page 207 - 214
Ephesians page 215 - 224
Philippians page 225 - 232
1 Timothy page 233 - 242
Titus page 243 - 248
2 Timothy page 249 - end of first section

The second section has Mark's and Peter's and Jude's writings. As you can see, by reading ("immersing") a whole section at a time you may arrive at a better contextual understanding of the whole of scripture.

The complete six volume set costs about $102 dollars, with each volume costing about $17 dollars.

Here are the remaining sections of the Messiah NLT version of the NT:

The books addressing primarily the Jewish audience: Matthew, Hebrews and James.

The books on Christian living, i.e. John, 1 John, 2 John and 3 John.

The last section is also of John, but the topic is end times - Revelation

No Van, your memory is slipping. The NLT has "For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin."
Get it straight. You had quoted it correctly a few posts ago. Senility is creeping upon you.

No need for such talk, Rippon. If you are tired of his posts or attitude, simply ignore him and his questions/comments. Please.

Many do that for you. ;) (a joke, bro)

A thread of mine was halted because one of you said the topic was under discussion by the mods/administrators.

I will not stand idly by as translations are being trashed by using way over the top language. You used to support limits on language that went way beyond mere critiques. Van, for a while was not allowed to say anything negative about the NIV. You saw to that. And I appreciated that. I would hope that the same limits can be in place in the current Bible Versions forum.

We will try. With thousands of posts and few of us "early" BB'ers around, it is a battle.

And Van is well known by the mod/admin band for his issues.

Calvinism is the doctrine that uses "forced" interpretation. Follow your own guidance. Stop making endless false charges.
Slain from or since the creation of the world, about 2000 years ago.
Those that are placed into Christ and then enrolled into the general assembly, Hebrews 12:22-23
I was when I started the thread, but the "administrators" of this site don't seem to want to do this, though they would remove a post of mine towards someone who was attacking me, and just because the one who was attacking was a "site supporter." Of course, this post will ALSO be deleted, as they can't take what they want to dish out. Reminds me of why I left this site again a few years ago. Only one of two of the administrators or moderators seem to have a fair bone in their bodies.

That sort of attack on BB moderators/administrators makes one wonder WHY you are here at all? Not that I think you should leave; I appreciate every viewpoint even when I am in 100% disagreement.

BTW, since I had to be gone for health issues and only recently returned, how much $$ does a "site supporter" have to give to be exempt from anything negative and admin always take their side? I want in on that!!

And I quoted your post so when the evil power-hungry admin/mod cut your post damning them and sullying their name cut your post (as you predict) it will be saved for posterity.

Yes, your OP asked a good question, and I tried to provide an on-topic reply in posts # 87 and 104.

Here is a snippet from Mark out of the "immersion" format of the NLT.

"But I use parables for everything I say to outsiders, so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled:

When they see what I do
they will learn nothing.
When they hear what I say,
they will not understand.
Otherwise, they will turn to me
and be forgiven."

So according to the NLT, people can learn and understand if Christ's spiritual message is presented unambiguously.

Thus a nifty renunciation of Calvinism's fiction.

I always appreciate your input, even when I disagree with you. I returned a few months back, and I didn't have any issues until I "unblocked" two that I had blocked a few years back. Don't know why I did that except that I hate having people blocked. I quickly remembered why I used that feature. I seldom do, but am finding in my older years and heart health challenges, that it's a good thing to have when needed. I don't know which moderator or administrator trashed the particular post, but they could have had the gonads to tell me in a PM. Same ol' same ol', though. I do still get some enjoyment out of the site.
Glad to see you're back, and hope you're doing better than you were. You and your bride have been in our prayers.

Let us consider some of the possible themes of Matthew's gospel.

In Matthew 7:28, Jesus is said to have finished speaking about the foundation for those seeking the kingdom of God. Wise people will accept the words of Jesus as authoritative and strive to do them.

In Matthew 11:1 Jesus is said to have finished speaking about the mission of evangelism, as disciples of Christ, to preach the kingdom of heaven is near, recognizing the hardship and difficulty and persecution that will accompany the task, as well as the reward for service.

In Matthew 13:53 Jesus is said to have finished speaking about the mystery of the kingdom via a series of parables. Thus the suffering and sacrifice along His paths of righteousness are revealed.

In Matthew 19:1 Jesus is said to have finished speaking about the family attributes and characteristics of those of the Kingdom of Heaven.

In Matthew 26:1, Jesus is said to have finished speaking about the destiny of those of the Kingdom of Heaven, to proclaim Jesus, despite affliction, until all of humanity has been reached.

These themes have been lifted from the NLT's Immersion Version of the NT.
