No.

But then again that depends upon who was making the claim and the hidden agenda (if any) and subservient related teachings.

For instance, if it were Dr Peter Ruckman or another radical KJVO and they claimed that that version was the KJV (1611-1853??) which is the Only word of God and that the 17th century KJV English corrects the Hebrew of the mms copy of Psalm 119:89 then, yes.

Also, consideringing their other teachings such as "advanced revelation" which nullifies the orthodox teaching of a closed canon 90AD and makes him currently the Only one who has the key to the knowledge of the location and meaning of these "advanced revelations" then I would have even more concerns since with both these doctrines at any time he/they can redefine Scripture (including perhaps Psalm 119:89) to make it possibly say whatever they wished if they didn't like the original language wording.

Of Beroea it was said:

The people here were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica,
since they welcomed the message with eagerness
and examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
(Acts 17:11, HCSB)

Yes, but it doesn't refer to translations because we haven't always had the HCSB.

I propose that all alleged "errors" in MVs are simply "printer errors." Problem solved, and the forum can now be removed from BB.

It was the King James Version Ed. Do you really check every Bible reference that you read on this board?

I, for one, would echo manchester's proposal, but for different reasons.
However, I find that this forum serves no purpose other than to stir up strife among the brethren. So, I too, would like to see it gone from the BB. ;) Some would say it is to "earnestly contend for the faith once delivered..." but I fail to see it that way. I would like to hear from ONE person who changed their view as a DIRECT result of this forum. :D

In HIS service;

OF COURSE the KJVOs would like to see it gone...then there'd be little to no opposition to their false doctrine.

AV1611Jim: However, I find that this forum serves no purpose other than to stir up strife among the brethren.

Actually, the strife is caused by certain brethren hawking a PROVEN-FALSE doctrine and hollering when we who have common sense refuse to believe it , while publicly denouncing it.

Who knows how many LURKERS have been warned away from KJVO and its associated false doctrines by this forum? Who knows how many others have had any doubts about their Bibles removed by this forum? WHO KNOWS HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEGUN TO READ A BIBLE OR BIBLES BECAUSE OF THIS FORUM, AND HAVE COME TO JESUS by what they've read?

Yes, the KJVOs wish EVERY forum which exposes the falsehood of their myth would go away, so they wouldn't be constantly embarrassed by those little questions they can't answer correctly w/o going against their myth.

Which King
James Version? I have three different ones.
It really saves God's time that belongs to
me if the Bible quoter would tell me instead
of me having to check. Thank you for helping
me to do God's work better.

Yes, I am required by God to check every
Bible reference that i read on the Baptist
Board (and other boards that i go to).
On a nearby topic:

http://www.baptistboard.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/4/2173/10.html

we are discussion a mal-quote of a Gentlemen.
Well, i've see some quotes of the Bible that
are also taken out of context. But more often
people quote the Bible and don't understand
what the words mean TO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION.

On another board the following Bible problem
was found. It was found by someone who
checked:

------------------------------------
I'm trying to find out where this
came from. It makes more sense:

For <1063> we are <2070> (5748) not <3756> as <5613>
many <4183>, which corrupt <2585> (5723) the word <3056>
of God <2316>: but <235> as <5613> of <1537>
sincerity <1505>, but <235> as <5613> of <1537>
God <2316>, in the sight <2714> of God <2316>
speak we <2980> (5719) in <1722> Christ <5547>.//

That's quite a commission that God has given you. Here's a verse that you can check out:

Luke 12:1 In the meane time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one vpon another, he began to say vnto his disciples first of all, Beware yee of the leauen of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisie. (KJV 1611)
