The Drudge Report is a right wing news story compilation web site.

http://www.drudgereport.com/

Basically it trawls the internet looking for articles that denigrate liberals (and therefore Democrats) and posts the articles on one page.

Rasmussen is the 'go to' poll for right wingers because his results tend to favor Republicans, probably because of the questionable polling practices they use. For example, Rasmussen does not use cell phone owners in their polls. That is a significant mistake since younger people most often have cell phones and they lean Democratic.

As to Rasmussen being accurate, well check this out:

I didn't know who Michael Gallagher was until just this morning when I heard him on the radio. He's a right wing talk show host. Today he was vowing to get revenge in 2014 elections.

And thank God for all the right wingers. And you are wrong about Drudge. Maybe you should visit it before talking about it.

It's bookmarked and I've been reading it on a daily basis for about 4 months now.

How am I wrong about Drudge? It's a daily compilation of pro right-wing articles that denigrate liberals and Democrats.

If that is true (and at this point it is doubtful) then you would know that there is a mix of links on Drudge the direct to both conservative and liberal sites. I will be glad to post a list of them for you if I must. But it would be better if you would just visit the site for yourself.

So sue us, ITL. We were hopeful.

I admit I was a bit hopeful as well. When I learned that most polls were oversampling Democrats I saw a ray of hope. But when I learned that the reason they were oversampling Dems was because most polls are not polling Hispanics and some are not polling people with cell phones (younger voters) I can see that the oversampling of Dems was compensation to make the polls more accurate. And they were right.

I will never vote again. The Republican party might as well fold up.

I know you will vote again--you're a patriot and are concerned for this country. At least you are willing to change up your routine! LOL. That was the point of my OP. As conservatives let's not go back to our typical sources of information and commentary, because they were wrong.

As to the Republican party folding up, they are well on their way unless they find some new leaders to appeal to youth and minorities.

One of the biggest mistakes made is the ignoring the fact that minorities have grown quite rapidly over the last few decades, especially Latinos. Republicans are going to have to figure out how to bring these groups in, or it will be a long time before their next victory.

Dick Morris never deserved a forum. He used to be a liberal spokesman. It has always been a given that goof balls like Rush Limbaugh and Shawn Hannity are nothing but entertainers. They anger more people than inspire. If we all would use the off switch, the programs would dry up and they would disappear.

Upon further review, I've been reading it for longer than 4 months. I started after primary season was over.

Yes, there are tons of links at the bottom of the page to individual blog sites--both right wing and left wing--but the actual stories on the top half of the page mostly are anti-Democratic, anti-liberal articles, along with some very tabloid like stuff as well.

Obama did not win because of minorities. He one partially because of race and mostly because people want free stuff.

Especially "--because people want free stuff". -- IMHO!

If you believe this, please explain these exit poll results:

Government is doing too many things better left to businesses and individuals
Total........Obama........Romney
51%.......... 24%....... 74%

Do you work full time for pay?
..........Total........Obama........Romney
Yes.....60%..........49%....... 49%
No......40%..........53%.........45%

So sue us, ITL. We were hopeful. The truth is, the demographics of America have changed and white working people are in the minority. The people who carried the vote for obama (blue) are the inner city votes and California (and the liberal NE).

There is no going back to what our nation once was. The people have spoken and they don't care about jobs, just freebies. They don't care about jobs, just free birth control. They don't care about corruption or Americans murdered in Benghazi. They don't care about Fast and Furious.

All they care about is freebies.

I will never vote again. The Republican party might as well fold up.

You've got it right LadyEagle. The Republican party by and large is made up of white working class folks. They work, go to church, pay their bills, and stay out of trouble for the most part.

The Democratic party is a conglomerate of special interest groups. You have the gays, the tree huggers, the feminists, socialists, etc... These folks love big government and lots of freebies.

Since about 1992 there has been a 50/50 split in the country, but in the last two elections especially the liberals are beginning to outnumber the conservatives. It will be nearly impossible for a conservative to win the White House from now on, unless the Dems really make a mess.

The sad part is, it was the Dems under Clinton who caused the sub prime mess that caused the great crash in 2008. Bush got blamed, but tried nearly 27 times to straighten out the mess. Barack Obama was very involved in these sub prime loans in Chicago.

What Obama has been successful at is blame shifting. Exit polls showed most folks who voted for Obama blamed Bush for the poor economy. Bush indeed caused much of the problems, but Obama contributed to the bad economy as well. Obama not only convinced naive folks that Bush was to blame, he even managed to convince some folks that Romney was to blame, because he was rich and successful. This is what the Dems do to sucker the poor, blame the rich. Funny thing is, the Dems are just as rich as the Republicans.

Maybe you should listen to some right wing radio, then you wouldn't support a rabid baby killer like Obama. There has never been a more pro-abortion President than Obama, how any Christian could vote for him is beyond me.

As far as the predictions, they were very accurate. All the states that were predicted to be solid for Obama and Romney were, all the swing states were close. So, these predictions were actually very accurate.

Obama won because professing Christians voted for him!

Part of the reason Obama won a second term is that some Christians voted for him. More importantly, however, is that the Republican Party is out of touch! Until they get away from the fringe element like Limbaugh, not much is going to change.

You've been hanging out with Zaac and Poncho far too long.

I don't recall insulting you lately, especially the remark about zaac. And I am not into conspiracy theories as I believe poncho is on occasion! That being said, with ~77% of Americans professing to be Christian, it is unrealistic to believe that these people are not responsible for Obama winning this election!

Excellent post, winman.

Also, I might add, a Rubio VP running mate might, just might, have made a difference. That was my hope, if some of you remember, to capture the Hispanic vote.

But it is what it is. Keep looking up.

You've got it right LadyEagle. The Republican party by and large is made up of white working class folks. They work, go to church, pay their bills, and stay out of trouble for the most part.

No argument there.

The Democratic party is a conglomerate of special interest groups. You have the gays, the tree huggers, the feminists, socialists, etc... These folks love big government and lots of freebies.
True but look at how government has grown under republicans.

It seems both parties are in love with big government and special interests.

Since about 1992 there has been a 50/50 split in the country, but in the last two elections especially the liberals are beginning to outnumber the conservatives. It will be nearly impossible for a conservative to win the White House from now on, unless the Dems really make a mess.
Might help if the republicans would run real conservatives instead of big government statists dressed in red.

How is blaming the other side for our problems helping to unite the country?

The sad part is, it was the Dems under Clinton who caused the sub prime mess that caused the great crash in 2008. Bush got blamed, but tried nearly 27 times to straighten out the mess. Barack Obama was very involved in these sub prime loans in Chicago.
That was caused by "winner take all politics" with both parties being contributing factors.

The really sad thing is the democrats and republicans both serve the same plutocracy that are eating us for dinner.

Maybe you should listen to some right wing radio, then you wouldn't support a rabid baby killer like Obama. There has never been a more pro-abortion President than Obama, how any Christian could vote for him is beyond me.
It's beyond my powers of comprehension too! But on the other hand it's perfectly alright for Christians to vote for a man that helped destroy God's creation and poison our food supply by covering up one company's colossal crimes against God and humanity for a few bucks. Right?

That's all fine and dandy though because the guy "claimed" to be against abortion in this campaign anyways. When did the idea of being pro life become so one dimensional as to only pertain to the life of the pre born?

As far as the predictions, they were very accurate. All the states that were predicted to be solid for Obama and Romney were, all the swing states were close. So, these predictions were actually very accurate.
Yeah they were they predicted we'd have either a socialist fascist or a fascistic socialist for president. I reckon I don't have to guess which got your vote.
