Yes you are still off base because you are taking verses out of context.
Genesis 1 is a unit and you separate it. Genesis 1:26-31 clearly shows man was made on the sixth day, not the third.
Not really. What it states is that God (Elohim-The Trinity) "created" man in His Image.
Genesis 2 is not a full account of creation. It is a more specific account of the creation of man and does not supercede chapter 1 that tells us man was created on day 6 not day 3.
Like ALL Scripture from Genesis 2:4 to the end of Revelation 22, the narrative takes us back to one of the Days of Creation and adds details to that Day of Creation. Genesis 2:4 takes us back to a time after the first Earth was made but BEFORE plants, herbs and trees, when Adam was made on the 3rd Day. Adam was NOT created by God the Trinity but "formed" from the contaminated air, dust and water which contained darkness or DEATH by Lord God/Jesus. Amen?
