Tow Truck driver

In past years - if you had a collision, flat tire ect - you would call a tow truck to come and help you.
The Tow truck driver would soon be there to get you going on your way.

BUT

Now they are called Tow Truck Technicians.
Am I missing something??

Can we call them T3?

Now, I need to find the answer to my next major situation!
