TPA/TPP is not about trade. It's about investment. "Trade" (and especially "free trade") is used to make it sound better.

Regardless of what it is called I have a bad feeling that it is a very bad deal for the average American worker and probably a good deal for the rich folk and international corporations.

During an appearance on msnbc’s “Rachel Maddow Show” on Wednesday, Warren neglected to take a shot back at the president, but did say: “We want to see this deal before you grease the skids, not afterwards.

Where was her coincern for "seeing the deal before it went down" when obamacare was being rammed down the throats of unwilling Americans?

Just another liberal hypocrite.

That being said, it's tempting to say that anything Obama is for, we should be against. He never has the best interest of America in mind. He has an agenda. Just don't know where this fits in just yet.

OTOH, if unions are against it, it could be a very good deal for the country.

The fact that Republicans are siding with Obama is not a surprise. they're weak and act more like democrats every day.

So many untrustworthy players...

Left-wing Democrats who are urging those like like Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) to run have blasted Hillary Clinton, “who was involved in TPP talks while secretary of state under Obama,” for her and her husband’s ties to Wall Street and crony capitalism.

As the Huffington Post notes, “the Clinton presidency signaled the Democratic Party’s full embrace of the financial elite, reversing the tough-on-banks platform implemented by Franklin D. Roosevelt under the New Deal.” The Clinton administration also ushered in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the World Trade Agreement treaties, as the Huffington Post noted. Ross Perot described NAFTA as making “a giant sucking” sound that would send American jobs south of the border.
Activists on the left have been dissatisfied since Obama, who ran on a platform of “change” and promised to “turn the page” on the Bush and Clinton years, took office and immediately brought in top members of Clinton’s economic team.
