Trolls, to name or not to name

I would say that a troll is a troll is a troll... Or I could pull a Forrest Gump and say "A troll is as a troll does, sir!" ;)

Don't see anything wrong with calling a troll a troll. If some do, well, they're too sensitive....Oh boy, now I'M going to get called to task for not being sensitive enough!!!!!! &*(*&(&@##$!~ (Sorry, was typing in tongues!) ;)

As for all the name calling, be it troll, godless atheist, heathen, heretic, or whatever . . .

Didn't y'all's mamas teach you that it isn't nice to call people names?

The best thing to do, when you think someone is a troll, is to hit the "Report Post" button so a moderator can come in and assess the situation.

If the person truly is found, by the Administrative Council to be a troll, he/she won't be posting on the BB very long.

If you do it the correct way, then you cannot be found guilty of violating the BB rule concerning personal attacks...

I agree with MP that labeling someone a troll is impolite. Instead of saying "Don't Feed The Troll", simply don't. Besides, righteous indignation is so much fun to indulge in, I'd think you'd appreciate him more.

I think Pastor Steve is making progress. Since he was new to the BB he didn't realize that this is a discussion board, where people test their views against sometimes withering but always rigorous examination. In a battle of wits on this board you'd better not come in half-armed (or this will make you a half-wit)or you'll get your head handed to you in a Kentucky minute.

Pastor Steve is getting a taste of that in this thread, but in a friendly sort of way, since is this for fellowship, not debate. But at least he's engaging in conversation and that's good.

Another thing, Pastor Steve, is that we all learn that built-in "amen" lines don't work here. Some congregations eat 'em up, but here, we're not impressed. So, when you make a statement have your KJV handy. Some folks will handle you gently, others will be rough, but all will treat you as a brother in Christ. The water is fine here, but it's hot. So dive in.

I always liked trolls. No matter how difficult my hair might be on any given morning, it always looks a bit better than any troll's hair.

Yeah. She told me that, so I stopped calling by brother or my sister by their names and addressed them as "Hey you!" So when she told me just call them by their names, I reminded her she had said not to do that.

"At any rate, "troll" is not on the approved labels list on this board. Please confine yourself to labels such as "liberal," "heretic," and "atheist" ("Godless atheist" if you're really on a roll)."
You've got to be kidding?

Does this site actually have an "approved list of labels", that can be used???
