As cities across the country are discussing defunding or disbanding their police departments, truck drivers are voicing concerns of safety. Seventy-seven percent of truck drivers say they will refuse to deliver freight to cities with defunded police departments.

Truck driving is historically ranked as one of the most dangerous jobs in the country. In 2018, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistic reported truck driving as the most deadly job in the country.

Yes, pull back the social support contract we all agree to abide by and see what happens, think it is a mess now just wait. Think Venezuela.

It will be escape from 'xxxx' progressive democratic run city.
You know with progressive democrats things dont get better, they get progressively more evil and bad as they listen to demonic doctrines.
I noticed on the evening news, they claim the takeover is peaceful, but according to the police chief in Seattle things are getting terrible and worse.

I like the idea. But I just don't see truck drivers, as a group, being cohesive enough to make it work.

Exactly. People need to put food on the table. This isn’t a concern. It will most likely be a case of neither issue happening anyway so much ado about nothing.

We may not need to worry about defunded cities if we keep up this path of insanity. Cops won’t & shouldn’t have to take all the abuse & disrespect they are getting. Please read this, & realize this is a 27 yr veteran of the force speaking the truth. Look at how the cops are being treated around the country, & are still expected to ‘take it, & take care of it’.

Oh, I could see how it could work , unless they all used armored trucks, and security guards. Deliveries would be dangerous otherwise.

Truck drivers aren't going to risk life and limb just so anarchists can have dinner. There would be alternative methods of deliveries, like air dropping them like they do in the movies.
