Trump’s tweets criticizing Jeff Sessions mark a grotesque new low

This is one of the few times I disagree with you. At the least Sessions has not sent the Feds in the middle of the night to haul someone like the little Cuban kid back to Cuba. Sorry, can't remember his name.
His mother was drowned, IIRC, and he was rescued before he stepped on shore.
I think that this brou-ha-ha between Sessions & Trump is for the media & left (I repeat myself) to focus on while in the background something more important is brewing; & when it is revealed it will be a bombshell cause it will catch the left totally by surprise - just my opinion of course! Or maybe just wishful thinking - whatever!!!

Edited to add:
My opinion: if the Trump vs Sessions relations were as bad as is public, I think either Trump would have fired him before now, OR Sessions would have tendered his resignation!!
He should have been sent back to his father in Cuba. His father wanted him.

As the father was living in Cuba, I assume he said what he was told to say or thought what the government wanted him to say. Keep in mind my wife grew up in the Former Soviet Union. So, the bottom line for me, I have little doubt the father said what he said with the proverbial gun to his head. IIRC, when he was here Elian was living with relatives.
How do you know his father did not want him?

Hillary wrote a book about this case--It Takes a SWAT Team.

The father was initially very happy that the boy had survived and was safe in Miami, which used to be just a dot on the map until the Cubans moved in. I think that the mother told the father that she was trying to escape. It has been so many years. It was as if Elian would have been sent to North Korea.

‘ Here is the president of the United States — responsible for the execution and enforcement of laws — openly putting party before justice, caring not about wrongdoing but rather about losing votes and maybe congressional seats. A justice system that is used to protect allies and punish enemies may be the norm of authoritarian governments. But, as Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) said in a pointed statement, “The United States is not some banana republic with a two-tiered system of justice — one for the majority and one for the minority party. These two men have been charged with crimes because of evidence, not because of who the President was when the investigations began.” Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) also joined in rebuking the president, tweeting, “This is not the conduct of a President committed to defending and upholding the Constitution, but rather a President looking to use the Department of Justice to settle political scores.” ‘

This is not a new low, how about when Obama went on a spree of constantly criticizing our nations law enforcement. I blame him for all the cop shootings that goes on. Obama has blood on his hands.

Bit how do you know he did not actually want his son?

Do I know his mind? Of course, I don't. I do know how folks who are not members of the Communist Party from a communist country think. The real problem many have with the situation is how Janet Reno used her office to act in what looked like the Florida section of the Cuban State Police. Really, a SWAT team?

I looked at one of the dissident blogs but I didn't see the answer. I am not sure that the parents were married. At any rate, it seems like he had a new girl friend and she was on her own with the boy. Does anyone recall? I did find her picture with Elian. Communism attacks the family. Cuba is exceptionally brutal. The other day they sentenced a Lady in White to 4 1/2 years. The Ladies in White have really done nothing except to dress in whatever white clothes they have and carry a gladiola and go to mass on Sundays and then walk silently around the central plaza of their towns. Most of them are black because it is mostly blacks that the racists Castros have in prison and the Ladies in White are objecting to their relatives in prison.

Reno handled everything in that manner. Waco and Ruby Ridge being prime examples. I disagree with the way she handled them, but her justice department was not nearly as heavy handed as the Sessions department. They are going after people and throwing the full force of the government against people just to try to get them to roll on Trump. What is happening now is more threat to liberty than anything Reno did.
