No. We are responsible for the choices we make in appointing our pastors, elders, and deacons.
So if a person shares your faith but is a sodomite, that person can't be a preacher, etc? Is it okay for a sodomite to be president?
Yes. I am a Baptist (I reject the notion of Christian nations). I do not put my faith in the President.
People such as Fr. James Martin would probably say that you are being arbitrary, wouldn't they?
Maybe. I do not see the federal government as an arm of the Church (again, I am Baptist). So I applaud the government when it makes godly choices but am not surprised when it doesn't.
Obama withdrew a contract to protect Nigerian Christians from Boko Haram jihadi psychopaths' because Nigerian Christians were opposed to homosexuality so who knows what the USA will do next?
It is good when the world protects Christians, but I do not know it is something we should expect.
It's a Christian holocaust & the USA broke a promise & spilled blood. It's daily. Indianapolis went downhill in the 1990s. We have a crime rate like Chicago.
