Trump Hits Back, Responds to Paul Ryan With Blunt Statement

Donald Trump returned fire to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) Thursday afternoon, responding to the Wisconsin Republican announcement that he was not yet ready to back the billionaire’s candidacy.

“I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan’s agenda,” Trump said in a statement. “Perhaps in the future we can work together and come to an agreement about what is best for the American people.”


“They have been treated so badly for so long that it is about time for politicians to put them first!” the real estate mogul added.

Not only doe he have the right, he has the responsibility of doing that which he believes is in the best interest of the country. If that is opposing a person in his own party who he believes will be a disaster for both the country and his political party, then it is imperative that he take a stance against that person.

The political play we are seeing now concerns the question, who will be the vice presidental nominee?

The party people want it to be one of their men and are withholding their support until he ponys up.

It is a real battle for Trump IMO.
A strong vice president might mean a weak president; if the Dems and the Repubs dislike Trump he runs a real risk of impeachment

... something Obama should have faced, given his abuse of his oath to uphold the constitution and laws .. but didn't due to his unswerving support by the Dems.

Trump will not have the support of party Repubs or Dems. during his term in office.

The GOP primary system needs to be fixed so that a minority candidate with 40% of the vote cannot win a majority of the votes. The party bosses wanted winner-take-all in order to hold down costs and end the primaries quickly. They never considered that they could get a nominee who did not have a majority. The Reagan polices of a strong defense, a small government, and a conservative traditional approach to moral questions--those values of Reaganism are dead in the GOP. The Super-wealthy Trump is a big government guy who thinks that Bruce Jenner should use any washroom he wants no matter what, just like Bruce did at the Trump Tower in NYC. Super-wealthy Trump is to the left of Hillary on some issues such as socialized medicine and federalization of education, for example--not to mention the abolition of NATO.

I do not like Trump but I dislike guys like Ryan even more. Here is a clear example why.

Trump certainly does NOT believe in feeralization of education. He has repeatedly said he wants to abolish Common Core and that education should be handled at the local level.

As far as NATO goes, he doesn't want to get rid of it --but to alter it because it is outdated from how it was originally conceived.

Then he becomes Speaker of the House. Not sure how that happened, but his main claim to fame is passing a budget that funded every illegal act that Obama wanted funded He didn't fight over anything. He's a weak kneed pseudo conservative who should resign in disgrace.
