I don’t proclaim folks to be unsaved, or saved for that matter. It violates the rules of the board, of course, to make such statements about other members.

DT views his assassination escape as a gift from God, and if we believe God sovereignly places leaders into power, I can’t really argue with it.

However, he isn’t a spiritual leader, he is politician. He obviously doesn’t understand theology, but is that necessary for salvation?

DT has publicly proclaimed Jesus as Lord and Savior. Who are we to proclaim him unsaved?

I believe that to be saved one must grasp that it is Christ who saves from sin; not us and our alleged good works that get us the ticket into heaven or that good works cancel out bad works.

I made a passing remark that was really intended to be a joke and you’re going to start throwing a hissy fit? Donald Trump loves attractive women. Am I not saying something that everyone else here doesn’t already know, or have you been living under a rock? Paula White is not qualified to be a pastor and if you can’t recognize that then you’ve got some serious discernment issues. There is no reason for me to believe that you have anything credible to say from this point forward.

Please provide the passage of scripture that states in order to be saved a person “MUST GRASP” that it is Christ who saves from sin and not alleged good works?

I do understand that to be true, but disagree someone must understand it or they cannot be saved.

I see a lot of passages about faith in Jesus. I see if you confess with the your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

DT has made positive statements concerning both.

What I see is politic disagreements and personal dislike for the man suppressing Christian charity on this issue.

BTW, I have the same opinion of the late Pres Carter who held to terrible politics and even worse theology. I never questioned his salvation.

You are a moderator whom I admire, so I’ll leave it to do as your conscience dictates.

I don’t give him a “free pass” on anything.

I simply do not declare him to be unsaved because of past crude remarks that I found highly offensive at the time.
