Trump: Kim's people sit up when he speaks, 'I want my people to do the same'

But you have to admit that using scripture out of context in order to justify seperating children from their parents is draconian.
Respectfully, do you REALLY want children housed with adults awaiting deportation? Remember some of those adults are hard working people who were arrested for being in the US illegally, while others are dangerous criminals and members of Drug Gangs also here illegally and awaiting deportation.

I do not think that the intent of separating parents and children is intended to be draconian. I believe it follows the same logis as having adult prisons separate from juvenile detention centers.

Yes I do! At least they would not go missing from the parents which is what you have happening now. Anyway, why would you put parents in maximum security prison for the crime of wanting a better life for their family? I’d think about that long and hard before approaching that course of action.

If there were different people in charge, perhaps not. But Trump and Sessions, alas, don't give a fig about children and their parents. They all are miscreants and must pay the penalty for wanting to seek refuge in the United States of Trump.

No one should now have any doubt that Donald Trump is a wanna-be authoritarian.

“President Trump said on Friday that he wants "his people" to listen to him like North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's people listen to him.

"He's the head of a country. And I mean, he is the strong head," Trump said of Kim in a tongue-in-cheek manner as he spoke to Steve Doocy of "Fox & Friends" outside the White House.

"Don't let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same," Trump said.”

Well being the head you might say of a business regime he's probably had that somewhat in his DNA. I think though while certain other Presidents haven't said similar words they very much acted like they were authoritarian especially when they're treated like they can do no wrong.

Thus you are reinforcing and enabling bad behavior.

We know you really despise the man, but it was a joke. Didn't you listen to the press conference or did you just pick this up from the Huffington Post or hear it on MSNBC?

When I was young we used to have this kid in the neighborhood that was real easy to offend and would run down the street several times a day, 4 houses down, screaming the whole way. Of course we used to do it on purpose just to see his reaction, we called him the "fire engine". This kind of seems like it is the adult version, because Trump throwing out a joke like this and sending the left screaming is pretty entertaining to watch. :D:Roflmao

Truly scary stuff: more evidence of America's descent into fascism

 If the left isn't playing the race card, they're playing the fascist card.

One is just as dishonest as the other and both are meant to stifle rational debate.

If the far-right wasn't racist and fascist there would be no need

:Roflmao

If the left had anything constructive to offer, they wouldn't need to resort to the same tired old false labels.

Identity politics is all they have to offer. And you just confirmed it.

You were the one who started with the labelling
