I grew up alongside some of the classic pacifist denominations (Amish and Mennonites), and never heard them speak of troops with the vitriol I now see coming from a Baptist. I guess I shouldn't be surprised...

that is because you like the rest are more interested in being "loyal" to your country, even when the Word of God does not support what you do or believe.

Anyone with an IQ greater than his hat size knows Iraq had WMDs. We sold them to them and Hussein used them against his own people.

and the PROOF was? We already know that the so called dossier which said that Saddam could attack in 45 minutes, was a LIE!

Soldiers appeared often enough in the New Testament. In which verses were they told to leave their profession? Surely if being a soldier and being a Christian were incompatible, someone would have spoken to them about it.

SBG is one of those holier than thou members we get every now and then.

Nobody here is as good a Christian as they are. And they don't mind telling you so.

When Peter took out a sword to defend Jesus, what was Jesus' response? PUT AWAY YOUR SWORD (Matthew 26:52); "All who live by the sword, will die by the sword". Which is very clear to me that Jesus is 100% AGAINST the use of force, in whatever form it is. You should have known this?

It is clear to you that way because of your presupposition. Jesus was going to the cross and needed to go through what was about to happen. That is why Christ did not want Peter to defend Him. You have ripped that passage out of context to fit your presupposition. It doesn't fit and does violence to scripture.

He cannot reply. He is no longer with us. He is enjoying a 30 day vacation due to his veteran bashing.

Good examples are:
  • Our Lord and the Centurion's servant in Matthew 8:5-13.
  • Cornelius and Peter in Acts 10.

Sometimes the use of force is the only moral thing to do.

If someone attacked my wife or child, I would be doing a great evil if I did not protect them.

And most likely, I would have to use force to protect them

The LEGITIMATE use of force to restrain evil is good.
