RALEIGH, N.C. -- Speaking at a rally Tuesday night, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee offered a note of praise for the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

"Saddam Hussein was a bad guy. He was a bad guy, a really bad guy. But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists," business mogul Donald Trump said. "They didn't read them the rights. They didn't talk, they were a terrorist? It was over."

So today we have Hillary getting let off the hook for mishandling top secret information and Trump praises Saddam Hussein. This is the quality of presidential candidates in 2016.

Let's not forget that Hussein tried to kill George H. W. Bush.

The RATs (Republicans Against Trump) get their panties in bunch over Trump not being sufficiently interested in sending American troops into war. Trump admits the USA should not have gone to war against Saddam.

He did not praise him. In fact he said he was a bad guy. Quite the misrepresentation.
He said Saddam was a bad guy; then went on to say "You know what he did well? He killed terrorists."

Saying someone did something well is usually considered praise; but no, he wasn't praising Saddam, he was praising how Saddam handled terrorists.

Much like Gaddafi in Libya. Look at the trainwreck that Obama/Hillary made of Libya when they took out Gaddafi.

Sure, after the war. Just like John Kerry, he was for the war before he was against it.

Go to 1:30 in the timeline. Recording is from September 2002. Six months before the US invaded Iraq.

media matters? Really and you have an issue with Briebart? Good grief.

The Media Matters article is a compilation of all the times Trump has said he has always opposed the Gulf War. I thought it would be easier to link to their site rather than post 16 different links places like Bloomberg, NBC News, Fox News (3 times), CBS News, FactCheck, CNN, Morning Joe, etc. etc.

From your link: Trump was asked if he was in favor of the war in Iraq. He replied, “Yeah, I guess so.” Not much of an endorsement.

At that point most Democrats were still for the war, and had been calling for regime change in Iraq for years.

"Yeah, I guess so" is nowhere near the county that the ballpark is located in for "I've always opposed the Iraq War".

Once again, the amount of rationalization that Christians will engage in to justify their support of Trump is breathtaking.

Also from your link:

Trump, Sept. 11, 2003: "It wasn’t a mistake to fight terrorism and fight it hard, and I guess maybe if I had to do it, I would have fought terrorism but not necessarily Iraq."

Trump will give you plenty of opportunities to be justifiably critical. Lies like this one you posted do nothing to damage Trump, but do say your credibility is about shot.

Ah yes, Carpro's "you're lying" gambit.

Did Trump say, "one thing Saddam did well was...he killed terrorists", or not?

Yes, he did say that. That is called praise.

You know, one thing the devil does well is manipulate people. He's also pretty good at allowing people in slavery to him feel free.

Is this praising the devil? I don't think so.
