Run Silent, Run Deep was a great book. Maybe I should read it again.

Haven't read the book, but the movie was excellent. If you have seen the movie, how close did the plots compare?
I have personally found, in general, that if I see a movie/read a book, that I don't want to do the other simply due to to the sometimes mutilation of the plots. Just me perhaps!!:Thumbsdown

I have both read the book and seen the movie. I cannot remember how closely the movie followed the book. I do not remember being upset at anything in the movie. The New York Times review of the movie considered it the best submarine movie made, at least up to that point.I believe you would enjoy the book.
