My understanding is that Congress CAN refuse to accept the EC vote.
Now the chances are that happening are slim because:
1) House has a D majority - so them not accepting would be slimmer to not even.
2) there was no verifiable proof.

What was happening - was that the R were going to put out their point of view - at a minimum - it would become part of the Congressional record.

My other thought - if the D's "knew" there was no fraud - then why should be be afraid of letting the R saying their peace. Let them have their say - and it would soon be over.

Were those who charged and damaged the building - should they be make to pay - of course.

Trump encourage the protesters to march - just as millions have done in the past, which was totally legal. But this time radicals were involved and..........
Democrats encouraged and supported BLM to get out there, and also told democrats to get in republican faces and scream and yell at them. (Maxine Waters)

I wanted him to do it, I really did. Not that it would have worked, I dont know about that, yes or no.
Nothing could have been more interesting about this election than seeing that happen at the end.
The sad part is his ego overshadowed his policies (which were good).

So I have watched the video again and re-read the transcript of Trump's speech. There is literally nothing wrong with it. Not even a hint.

He did not encourage violence, in face he said the opposite. And in absolutely no way did he incite the riot.

Liberals are off their rockers!

They see and hear what they want to see and hear. They are addicted to their false sense of victimization. Which makes them vengeful and vindictive people.

ORIGINAL SIN: Mike Pence Wanted To Backstab Trump, Become Republican Nominee In 2016
You all should look at this. How Priebus and Pence were going to toss Trump in 2016 and replace Trump with Pence as the nominee.
It may make you realize some of what happened back then, that Pence is not as pure as you might think. And if that had happened, Clinton would have been elected.

ORIGINAL SIN: Mike Pence Wanted To Backstab Trump, Become Republican Nominee In 2016

Mike Pence, Reince Priebus, and the Republican Party establishment were dead set on removing Trump from the ticket.
He’s starting to sound a lot like Romney. No one in power, or seeking power, is in it for you & me, except Trump. That is why he has unfailing support from the people & zero support from the politicos.
How many of them show up with average wealth & leave as multimillionaires, if you can ever tear them away from the drug of wielding power. Most will stay as long as they breathe. Term limits is the answer. Term limits would virtually eliminate the lobbyists who yield the true power, the power of the purse.
They’ve got the money, & the politicians sell us out for it every stinking day they are in office. The politicians don’t even write the bills, they just present what the lobbyists give them. How do people think they have these reams of stuff at the ready? Because of themselves or their staff? Don’t make me laugh. Washington is corrupt to the core.

Only the native Americans are real Americans. The rest are immigrants 50 million from England for example and a further 40 million from Ireland etc
This is not true. Even the native Americans came from somewhere. Same with England. Englishmen did not sprout from the ground like cabbage. Well....most of them didn't anyway.

Nations conquered nations. This has been the ongoing theme of world history. But most of us here in America are natural born citizens. Those who are not, those who immigrated to America, are no less American because they are naturalized.

Good thing your ego is in check, so you can keep sharing these pearls with us.
I absolutely agree. If Trump were able to maintain his ego as I am able to maintain mine then he would probably been re-elected and that would have been beautiful...just a beautiful thing.

Unfortunately, there can only be one of me as were there two we'd have to get rid of the other. The world is just too small for such greatness as two me's.

I quoted you! It fits what you say in the OP, as you cannot accept the fact that the language of Trump after he lost the election to "sleepy Joe", that his behaviour and language promoted the violence that took place last week. No level headed person would deny this!
How exactly does saying "Go to the capitol peacfully" promote the violence? You have a reality issue here.

Pretty sure I am not an immigrant, my parents weren't immigrants, my grandparents weren't immigrants, shoot my great grandparents weren't immigrants. So you are looking pretty foolish right now.

Really? If you are of the white race then you most definitely are from European descent. Prove otherwise
