Trump-Sanders Ticket in 2024?

Sarah Sanders is now effectively the governor-in-waiting in Arkansas, just waiting to be the sworn into office in January 2023. I see the real potential that Donald Trump could pick her as his running mate in 2024. She was his press secretary, it would put a woman on the GOP ticket for the first time since 2008, it would put a much younger person on the ticket with Trump being 78 years old, and Trump's MAGA base totally adores her, maybe second in their affections only to Trump himself.

When Sarah gets the governorship, she will not relinquish it in the very next breath. I'm rooting for Mike Pompeo for either President or Vice-President in 2024.

She would have been governor for two years by 2024. It's not like the governor has a lot of power in Arkansas. The legislature can override a veto with a simple majority vote, and the legislature is controlled by Trump's MAGA base. I think she would jump at the chance with the encouragement of her father.

Saw Pompeo on a news show. He has lost 60-80 lbs. looks great. Definitely running. I still like Nikki Haley and DeSantos.

Repubs will have a very strong field.

peace to you

If Trump runs in 2024, isn't his GOP nomination a fait accompli?
Maybe. Trump has the problem of sticking his foot in his mouth on a regular bases. If he can control himself, it should be his. I’m not sure he’s running. He just started some internet platform.

If he runs, you will have folks in the race to audition for VP. I like Pence but I doubt he challenges Trump and wouldn’t accept VP if Trump asked, which he won’t.

peace to you

Trump does things Trumps way- As a CEO he can do that.
But as CEO of the USA - not so much!
He needs to allow his advisors to tell it like it is and then listen to their advice.
I have no problem is a POTUS does not release his tax returns - but if you say that you will
then you need to do so!

If Trump is the R nominee - yes I will vote for him. I just hope he will have learned something these four years.
And I would more than likely vote for him again, at the NY Conservative Party Nominating meeting.

He said he would as soon as IRS audit was complete. Is it complete yet?

This is not really the way having good advisors should work.

There should be some differences of opinion with well-articulated reasons behind them, as well as challenging questions that further define the situation.

The job of the president is to ask penetrating questions, weigh all of the advice, consider the big picture, count the cost, take responsibility, make the best decision.

RT - I fully agree! I'm not saying he should have "yes men" - In fact, having men who have different opinions -is good - to look at all three sides.
Now, for example - as a company CEO if he messes us - sure - it might cost him - say $150,000 - no big deal - for a company worth 20 million dollars. But if he messes up as POTUS - then what you loose is your election.

I suppose you just explained it better than I did.)
(wait - let me ask my advisors)
