That would take ten years or more. Can't change supply chains overnight, nor will the American people abide by the huge increase in prices that would occur. It would have to be done gradually, if at all. Although it would be a good idea to keep pharmaceutical manufacturing within the United States as much as possible.

Trump is probably right in that now we had a plan in place and the means to deal with the virus without shutting down. Of course , this is no evidence that the first shut-down was not necessary to get a handle on this. .

Sure enough, people though who are older and living in nursing homes are locked down easily just by their situation. One reason among many why I have no desire to ever live in one. I would think if your in an institutionalized living arrangement, you are easier for them to control what you do, and if your resisting, the courts can take away your rights and drugs can be administered...

I don't know Kentucky but here is my answer once being a Marine in combat... We had a boot, a ( greenhorn) 2nd Lieutenant who was straight out of officers school and shipped to Vietnam... I can write this now because of our Platoon Sergeant, would I still be here, if we listened to the 2nd Lieutenant?... It is not going to take ten years as you suggest. There will be some big changes after Trump is re-elected. People like former Senator Max Baucus of Montana are not going o be able to sit on boards of directors of major corporations like Ingram Micro which are owned by the Chinese.
