I made no such claim about salvation. Don't jump to conclusions! You and Baptist Believer both are on the verge of calling those who voted for Trump unsaved.
I simply said that disciples of Christ need to denounce Trump's actions and the crowd of people that have been motivated by his rhetoric.
President Trump invited these people to Washington DC on January 6th, made false claims about the Vice President's authority to overturn the election, and incited the crowd to go to the Capitol to put pressure on Pence and the lawmakers, to "fight much harder" against "bad people" and "show strength" since they would "never take back our country with weakness." He emphasized, "when you catch somebody in a fraud, you are allowed very different rules." He also threatened the Vice President by saying, "if Mike Pense does the right thing, we win the election... And I actually -- I just spoke to Mike. I said: "Mike, [overturning the election] doesn't take courage. What takes courage is to do nothing. That takes courage." He's clearly saying that there will be consequences if Pence follows the Constitution. That's the whole point of the riot, and the rioters knew it. That's why they were yelling about "hanging Mike Pence."
If one knows the teachings of Jesus, the right thing to do is obvious.
