I don't think changing from conservative to liberal is a "detail."

I wasn't referring to that, but I don't think the Democrats were conservatives by our standards, today. But Democrats are still the party of racism to this day.

The Republicans are trying to destroy the fragile safety net in the U.S. for the poor and needy.

Nope, not at all. The Republicans are putting people back to work so that they don't need a safety net. The best social program for the poor is a job. But you Democrats prefer the blacks to remain on your "plantation" where you can keep them poor and dumb.

These people are statistically more black than white due to prolonged racism.

No, racism isn't their problem. The most successful athletes, entertainers are black. The richest woman in the US is Oprah. They are fully represented in every part of our national fabric. While there are pockets of racism, you simply cannot play the race card against whites given that it was whites who elected a black president twice by a landslide.

The real problem for black people are men like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Their constituencies are the poor blacks who sit on the curb and blame "the man" for all of their problems. They thrive on blacks remaining poor and on government handouts. When the Christian "Promise Keepers" came on the scene back in teh late 90s, black men started getting saved and pulling themselves up and getting jobs and taking responsibility for their families. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson demonized Promise Keepers because black men were starting to find their dignity and Sharpton and Jesse Jackson started losing their constituencies. Black men who think for themselves and do for themselves are enemy of the Liberals. Liberals hate liberated black people who don't stay on the "plantation."

What have the Republicans ever done for them?

Put them back to work, gave them jobs. What have the Democrats done for them? Forced them to remain on the "plantation" of their Democrat masters and depend on them for food stamps and welfare and pretty much force them to live in poverty. They demonize blacks who are conservatives, as "uncle Toms" and traitors to the black race

A man with neo-Nazi beliefs whose brazen assault on counterprotesters of a “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last year was found guilty Friday of first-degree murder.

James Alex Fields, Jr. plowed his 2010 Dodge Challenger into the crowd, killing 32-year-old paralegal Heather Heyer. A jury in Charlottesville deliberated for seven hours before convicting Fields, 21, a Nazi sympathizer from Maumee, Ohio.

The jury also found Fields guilty of five counts of aggravated malicious wounding, three of malicious wounding, and one hit-and-run count. In all, 35 other people were wounded in the Aug. 12, 2017 assault, which brought national attention and heightened tension between right-leaning activists and their critics.

So what? The rally was not a white supremacist rally and the Nazis there crashed a rally they were not invited to and they ended up hijacking it for their purposes. This has nothing to do with Republicans or Trump.

I think that it is rather indicative of the falseness of media reporting that they referred to Antifa as "counter-protesters." Antifa is a fascist, violent movement that attacks and harasses conservatives. They are violet radical Leftists who are anti-American.
