wishful thinking. He only delayed this under pressure. He is basically delaying hoping China will blink but they are not about to. Devaluation renders the tariffs pointless while the US can’t afford to reciprocate.
Actually, Trump giving Chinese time to resolve Hong Kong crisis, as all know that China will agree int he end to our demands, as they have far more to lose than we will!

out of your depth but you could redeem yourself by sharing data however bogus
You are the one who refuses to acknowledge that finally China has to come to trade on our terms, as they realise refusing to do that means a losing trtade war for them!

out of your depth. The sanctions came after the riots and were supposed to be effected immediately. Who told you there won’t be riots in December?

Trump is granting China the means to "save face", and they will be brought to accepting out terms in the end. China is stubborn and proud, but they know that the new Sheriff in town will not accepting the crap they were able to do before!

For many years China (and many other countries) has been taking advantage of the United States on Trade, Intellectual Property Theft, and much more.

Our Country has been losing HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year to China, with no end in sight.

Sadly, past Administrations have allowed China to get so far ahead of Fair and Balanced Trade that it has become a great burden to the American Taxpayer.

As President, I can no longer allow this to happen! In the spirit of achieving Fair Trade, we must Balance this very unfair Trading Relationship.

China should not have put new Tariffs on 75 BILLION DOLLARS of United States product (politically motivated!).

Starting on October 1st, the 250 BILLION DOLLARS of goods and products from China, currently being taxed at 25%, will be taxed at 30%.

Additionally, the remaining 300 BILLION DOLLARS of goods and products from China, that was being taxed from September 1st at 10%, will now be taxed at 15%. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

More tarrifs. China will retaliate, Trump will hit back, and so forth till they all grind to a halt. What's clear is, China is no push over. Trump in his signature hypocrisy, accuses China of the very thing he is doing; politics

Tariffs on electronics postponed till December. Trump knows he is losing this

Trump delays tariffs on Chinese-made laptops, cell phones, toys and video games

So what would you do Mr. Trade Genius? Let the status quo continue with China having an ever more trade imbalance with us as they continue to steal our intellectual properties? Unlike Obama, the Bush's, and Clinton at least Trump is actually doing something. China is getting hut by all this you can be sure.

Then what do you suggest we do? Besides kowtowing to the Forbidden City.

Simple.

First, remove your political blinkers. If you believe a former Am president got it bad then you should have no problem being critical of president Trump.

The trade War is hurting both the US and China, and the uncertainties around it are being felt well beyond these two. Fears of a global recession are real. While the stated objective of the sanctions is to punish China for corporate espionage and also to bring back home jobs, none of these will work.

The jobs are in China because they are cheaper. If they came back home, they would raise cost of production and push the prices up which would drop the demand thereby killing the industry, and with it the very jobs Trump is trying to create.

As long as China can export products of their unfair industrialization elsewhere outside the US, the sanctions won't do much to deter them.

What to do.
Build a coalition of nations against China. The US did this when going to Iraq and also Afghanistan. This is also the same policy that has kept Iran from nuclear weapons. Hunt as a pack. China is too big to be combated alone and it has many sympathizers.

But the US has annoyed all potential coalition members. They walked away from Trans-Pacific Partnership that brought together almost all of China's neighbors. Look at the side Trump is taking on Brexit. What are the chances of getting EU on his side? So the EU can't care less, and the Asian countries won't either. US is alone and isolated.

Yeah the reason the US is alone over this. Is due to Trump. And how he really does not seem to be a team player. He just wants to get his way no matter what. It is about teamwork. He has no idea what that is sadly but truthfully.

Now that is funny. Before Trump, no one was batting an eye at all Communist China and its accomplices were getting away with, as they were complicit, including US players. Now Trump is guilty for being alone because everyone else is on the other team? :Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao
