President Obama isn't the only one that's been apologizing for the United States. Here's a couple of instances where Donald Trump has apologized for the U.S.
In an appearance on Piers Morgan's CNN show in 2013 Trump took issue with the phrase "American Exceptionalism", the idea that America is uniquely different and better than other nations because it is made up of rugged individuals with the can-do spirit that try to make the world a better place.
While praising Vladimir Putin for an op-ed he wrote, Trump said, “You think of the term as being fine, but all of sudden you say, what if you’re in Germany or Japan or any one of 100 different countries? You’re not going to like that term. It’s very insulting and Putin really put it to him about that.”

More recently after the failed coup attempt in Turkey Trump basically said we in the United States have no right to criticize what happens in other countries because we are so screwed up. He said, "I think right now when it comes to civil liberties, our country has a lot of problems, and I think it’s very hard for us to get involved in other countries when we don’t know what we are doing and we can’t see straight in our own country. When the world looks at how bad the United States is, and then we go and talk about civil liberties, I don’t think we’re a very good messenger."
