Trump's low approval ratings set an unwanted record

Donald Trump started as the most unpopular new president in the history of modern polling. After seven months, things have only gotten worse.

Plunging into undesirably uncharted territory, Trump is setting records with his dismally low approval ratings, including the lowest mark ever for a president in his first year. In fact, with four months left in the year, Trump has already spent more time under 40 percent than any other first-year president.

At 34 percent, his current approval rating is worse than President Barack Obama's ever was.

Trump's early descent in the polls defies some longstanding patterns about how Americans view their president. Such plunges are often tied to external forces that the president only partially controls, such as a sluggish economy or an all-consuming international crisis. In Trump's case, the economy is humming and the foreign crises have been kept to a minimum.

Still the lowest rating for any president in his first year. It will go lower, but not much as for some Trump is a cult figure who can do no wrong.

I seem to remember that Trump was low in the pre election polls, trailing your crook, Hillary, but he did win. One more reason I don't believe in polls printed by the fake media.

And if I remember right, I just read that your boys in Congress trail Trump in the approval polls by double figures (16%).

So, do you like your "crow" cooked with fresh vegtables, or without?

Look at the fundraising. Democrats are in big trouble and they know it.

Lack of fundraising must be a concern for the Democrats, but some of reasons behind it must be burn-out from 2016. They contributed heavily to Hillary and lost. The months, sometimes the year after a presidential election is slow for fundraising especially for the losing party.

Once they get a new standard bearer they will be back.

The polls have NEVER been decisive concerning President Trump.

Except for the actual vote.

Trust me in this, those polling numbers are from same sources that predicted easy win for Hilliary, and also, once the nation sees thru all of the balony being propagated by Fake news and the Dems, those numbers will rebound quickly...

And really, the ONLY poll number that counts for any leader is how God views them as leading or not!

So what? This is an archaic measurement in regards to re-election, as is negative image.

Yes, he has low approval ratings just like the Congress and the media.

the MSM - including rags like WaPo and cable media are at record lows, but have heard what Mitch's were in the state of Kentucky? Now THAT'S an open invitation for a primary challenger or a D pickup.

Wonder what Jesus would have been polling during his ministry days among the "elites" of Israel of that time?

Here we go. Pollsters invest considerable funds into producing accurate polls. So, they weed out responses from "radicals" who don't represent "America".

If a person qualifies for all of the following, (s)he is considered a right-wing radical:

over 50 years old
believes in constitutional government
believes in the NRA definition of the second amendment
identifies him/herself with Christianity
is white

So, if those responses were included in public opinion polls, the numbers would be different. But how do pollsters know who qualifies as radical? They use robocallers and ask automated questions. Depending on how you answer, you might never receive another call from pollsters.

The pollsters are not polling the general public. They are polling those who they want to be the general public. But, as is readily obvious to the discerning, Trump won the 2016 election after pollsters conclusively predicted his loss to Clinton. That prediction had more to do with the pollsters than with the voters!

or maybe Willie Brown's old girlfriend, the totally unlikable and constitutionally ineligible Kamala Harris.
