Well, let's see. Ronald Reagan's record:

As a "CONSERVATIVE" REPUBLICAN Governor Reagan was pro-gay-rights. He vigorously opposed the 1978 Briggs initiative (Proposition 6), which would have banned homosexuals from teaching in public schools. (He was Governor from 1967-1975)

He was pro-abortion. Six months into his term as a "CONSERVATIVE" REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR, he signed the Therapeutic Abortion Act, which led to a rise in abortions in California from 518 a year to an average of 100,000 during his last two years in office.

As "CONSERVATIVE" REPUBLICAN Governor of California, he signed into law one of the worst gun control laws in the country, the Mulford Act.

He was pro-tax. He raised taxes more than $1 billion during his term as a "CONSERVATIVE" REPUBLICAN governor.

He was pro-illegal immigration. He signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act while the "CONSERVATIVE" REPUBLICAN president, which led to a rise in illegal immigration.

Facts are such pesky things!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I didn't vote for him and I'm not the one that is arguing that Trump is Reagan reincarnated. Still not going to make me vote for Trump.

You seem to have missed the point. People change. Especially they change their politics. I have no doubt Trump changed his politics in order to win the election. But remember, he will have to be reelected in 4 years so there is little chance of him not staying on the right side of center. We know Hilary has not and will not change.

Trump is not even right of center now. In fact he seems to be doubling down on all the statest totalitarian rhetoric his followers love and adore. I will not vote for a totalitarian ruler even if they happen to get an R after their name.

This is by far the most challenging and interesting election of my lifetime.

JFK was my favorite (Yes he was a Dem but there was no legalized baby murder when he was president).

I was a Dem until 1976 when the Party officially endorsed abortion.

JFK inauguration 1961
"ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." NOT a liberal statement.

He praises planned parenthood on live TV. That is not pro life. Besides he talks out of both sides of his mouth.
The difference between Reagan and Trump is Reagan spoke out against big government for many many years before running for president. Trump is actively campaigning for bigger government and the destruction of the Constitution to cheering crowds. He is no Reagan. Trump is a statest liberal democrat and he will never get my vote.

He said that he approved of everything they do but the abortion part.

I am however going to wait until we see a definitive platform from him to make any statements of certainty about his positions like folks did in the past with Reagan.

Until then I can only hope he remains and STAYS pro-life along with his promise to overthrow Roe vs Wade.

Nope doesn't work that way. You can't praise the company that is synonymous with abortion and then claim to be pro-life. Everything Planned Parenthood does is to further their abortion business, there is not a separation there. He is a pro-death democrat plain and simple.

Yes it is the way it logically works.

He said that he approved of all the things they did ACCEPT abortions.

I approve of fire arms ACCEPT in the hands of criminals.

If he does overturn Roe vs Wade as he says he is going to try to do then Planned Parenthood will only be involved with birth control (which I personally don't approve of - my wife and have 11 children, all 1 family), sonograms, etc...

No a more accurate analogy would be I approve of guns except when they fire bullets. Guns are designed to fire bullets, Planned Parenthood is designed to cause abortions. You can't separate the two. Since his instincts were to praise them on stage with no caveat it stands to reason that he is pro-choice and will do nothing to help the prolife stance.
So again I will not vote for a democrat. I will not vote for Trump.

I may not either, depends on several things.

For instance if Cruz or Rubio or Kasich or a real pro-life conservative makes a GOOD showing towards the end then maybe.

Otherwise Hillary will be a shoe in because humanly speaking it's just too late for a third party or a write-in (except perhaps a convenient way to salve one's conscience - not that I wouldn't consider that myself in the end).

We can and should pray for the Lord to step in and propel someone with integrity to the forefront.

I agree. People throw the term RINO around. Many hold up the late Mr. Reagan as the standard. Yet as you point out below, his policies and actions if taken in 2016 would make him a RINO.
