Trumps Temperament?

Actually, Trump has the perfect temperament for the job, in God's eyes. The eyes of man are tempered by sin. Only God knows the true Donald Trump and He has chosen to use him as His instrument to lead this nation for the next 4 years.

End of story.

Wow, just wow...

And I'll go on preaching the gospel as a Biblical doctrine.
Here is what you said....

"God wants all to come to repentance. Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. God wants the gospel to be preached to all nations. That is the lens through which we should look at EVERYTHING."

I did notice the all caps on "EVERYTHING".

So let's put this to real life scenarios....

A terrorist storms into a school and begins killing the children. In the Light is in charge of resolving the situation. What does he do? Preach the Gospel to the gunman? Ok, I'll let him try that first. The gunman tells him to shut up and keeps on killing. What does In the Light do next? Just keep on preaching the Gospel to him?

So what does the statement "The Gospel is the lens through which we should look at EVERYTHING" look like in this world's events.....

You want Presidents to preach the Gospel, that would be wonderful. Now what do you want them to do when that does not stop the evil?

I don't think the goalposts could be moved much further than you just moved them. I said Trump's temperament and immorality makes it difficult for Christians that supported him to spread the gospel and you create a scenario of terrorists killing schoolchildren and the President preaching!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Carpro knows the mind of God.

No more than you claim to know God's relationship with Trump and his state of forgiveness. According to you, Trump has never asked forgiveness. How do you know this? Did God whisper it in your ear?

I thought this article was interesting.

Trump: I hope I don't have to ask 'for much forgiveness' from God

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/trump-forgiveness-god-224068

I think that it is reasonable to draw conclusions about a person based on words and actions.

From the article:

Though he remarked last year that he has never asked God for forgiveness, Donald Trump suggested in an interview published Wednesday that he plans on doing just that.

In an interview with columnist Cal Thomas, Trump was asked, "You have said you never felt the need to ask for God’s forgiveness, and yet repentance for one’s sins is a precondition to salvation. I ask you the question Jesus asked of Peter: Who do you say He is?"

"I will be asking for forgiveness, but hopefully I won’t have to be asking for much forgiveness."

So, as of June 2016 Trump had not asked for forgiveness, but he will get around to it when he's good and ready. His gambling empire, adultery, cussing, sexual assault, and cheating is a light load though. He doesn't have to ask for much forgiveness. He sees himself as a good person.

He also did not answer the question: "Who do you say Jesus is?" That's my #1 qualifying question for any presidential candidate.

In Trump's mind, he asks for forgiveness every time he participates in communion.

"Trump said that while he hasn't asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion.
"When I drink my little wine -- which is about the only wine I drink -- and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed," he said. "I think in terms of 'let's go on and let's make it right.'"

What Presbyterians believe about Communion:

When we participate in Communion, we affirm the following:
 That apart from God’s gift to us of Jesus Christ, we have no hope;
 That we are baptized into the death of Jesus Christ and also his resurrection (i.e. we re-affirm
of our baptism);
That we repent of our sin and sinfulness and cling to God’s grace;
 That we belong to God, not because we are worthy but because God has offered us the gift of
salvation
 That we belong to God’s covenant community (i.e. the church) and that God’s intention for
us is to live in community with those people;
 That we will seek to live faithfully as followers of Jesus and members of God’s covenant
community.

Brother, you said EVERYTHING should be viewed through the lens of us, in a nut shell, promoting the Gospel. So I ask you how that can be done in real life scenarios such as stopping evil situations.

Yes, and I wonder how it would affect my decision of how long to heat up water in the microwave for a cup of tea?

In other words, your example is silly.

I thought the subject was spreading the Gospel. Do you feel a need to witness to a cup of tea?

How so?

I support God's past decision to keep David as king even though he lived a life of polygamy, with concubines also, and slaughtered the captives of his battles. Would you have voted to keep David in office?

That does not justify voting for Trump.

Well brother, justification of a vote for any candidate is in the eyes of the beholder. I personally justify my vote for Trump in the fact that I seen a left wing loone and supporter of child murder as a more serious threat to morality than divorce or making some rude comments about women. I had to weigh the sins. I could not give Hillary the election by casting my vote to someone who had no chance of winning. The stakes were to high. If I have sinned against God by my vote, may God forgive me, I voted for those unborn babies who could not speak for themselves.

That may be all I was saying is King David cannot be used to justify voting for Trump.
