What would be "mercy" here? Life in prison? Or should we just let him go?

Mercy for everyone would be a quick execution of the convicted terrorist and murderer.

Any word on why the "authorities" who had their eye on these guys and were warned about them by the Russians well ahead of time didn't swoop down on them until after the bombs went off?

Don't cops always do that....wait for the crime to be committed and then arrest the perp?

Don, who pays for that?
Zaac does. And you. And me.

And the survivors. And the families of those who died. And the family of the policeman killed while chasing them.

If he is not executed, some are saying that he will be murdered in prison--in fact, he probably already has to have special protection. Do you remember the child-molesting priest who went to jail in Mass. a few years ago? A short time after he had been in prison, another prisoner serving life for murder (why wasn't he executed) murdered that priest.

He'll get a nice quiet cell all to himself with private toilet and sink. He'll be removed from his cell once a day in hand restraints and escorted by 2 COs to take his shower, then to a private one man recreation yard where he will stay for about an hour, then returned to his cell. He'll get 3 squares a day and free medical. For so long as he lives.

It'll be hard for anyone to get the opportunity to do him any harm.
