Tv shows to watch with christian content

I don't see how "True Blood" can be included in a list of "TV shows to watch with Christian content".

I am not familiar with the other two shows listed, so I do not know about their content.

The Last Kingdom on Netflix

Vikings on netflix

True Blood on HBO
I'm not familiar with any of these as I don't take Netflix nor get any of the HBOs, Showtimes, or Cinemax.

But here is the Parents Guide available online for True Blood on HBO.

Does this sound like Christian content?

[1] Sex and nudity: Female nudity. Much sex. Rape. Child molestation.

[2] Violence: Over the top. Some is "fantasized". Cat decapitation. Dog abuse. Beheadings. Disembowelments. Throat-rippings. Dismemberments. Mature audience only type: bloody, brutal and graphic.

[3] Profanity. MUCH. The rough words.

@benjoseph . I'd like you to come back to this thread and tell us what is Christ-like about this content.

Why do Christians watch this crap?

I watch a LOT of "The Andy Griffith Show" on the PlutoTV app; it's my go-to channel on there, and I like the show A LOT. But even in that TV series there are issues, such as Barney thinking he is conjuring up the spirit of a long-dead Count that can grant three wishes to Opie ("Three Wishes for Opie"), Barney and several other men accusing another man of being a "jinx" ("The Jinx"), the Darlings on an episode talking about going to church with witches ("The Darling Baby"), and, of course, the numerous times that Barney steps out on Thelma Lou with Juanita.

My wife and I started True Blood. Turned it off REAL QUICK.

I did like Vikings....not really any Christian themes. Can't recall many bad scenes, but we skip ahead when we think one is coming up. It was violent. But....well....vikings.

I watched all of the "True Blood" episodes back during its original run on HBO. But after the Holy Spirit regenerated me in 2021, I just don't have an interest watching that kind of stuff or really any modern day dramas. I mainly watch sports and old TV shows like the "The Andy Griffith Show", "Hogan's Heroes", and westerns, some news, and Godzilla movies. In fact, the Lord willing, I plan to start going back through the Godzilla movies (I have them all on DVD) starting in 2026, as apparently, the sequel to "Godzilla Minus One", entitled, "Godzilla Minus Zero", may be released in late 2026.

And then there's the episode where Barney and Andy are looking through the city trash for Opie's "newspapers" with town gossip in them and they come across Barney's trashy magazines he subscribed to and they look at the centerfold with Andy mockingly chastising Barney and Barney trying to point out the quality of the photography!!

That one always makes me roll my eyes.

Oh? There's a Godzilla Minus Zero coming out? I really like the Minus One.

No.

Really was not a HUGE TV show viewer after I left home for college until around 2008 (my wife's mother died at the end of 2007, so she no longer spent time taking care of her) up to 2020. My wife and I watched a LOT of TV shows and movies together during that time, but after she died in 2020, I eventually went back to my bachelor ways and stopped watching new TV series.

Perhaps the OP might be referring to these shows as featuring Christian symbols, like crucifixes. If that's not the case, then I would be inclined to take it as a joke.

Years back, someone on here actually mentioned Gunsmoke. Really? Prostitution, gambling, drunkedness, carousing, fighting.

I still am amazed that they espoused that view. Oh well
