TV westerns

Ironically, while the character Matt Dillon was a pretty quick draw, the actor James Arness was actually one of the slowest draws in the business.

One of the fastest was Jerry Lewis (who didn't do too many westerns, and the ones he did do were comedies).

Bob would have killed them all.

Westerns are primarily what my Husbie and I watch... we start with Cheyenne, Wagon Train, Laramie (my favorite as I love Robert Fuller as an actor), Death Valley Days, Wells Fargo (not as much), The Virginian, Gunsmoke...I am hoping they will start showing Cimarron again...Cimmaron City is not a favorite and I don't like Wild Wild West at all.

We have the Encore Western Channel plus Grit, Insp, and some other channels that show older shows... about 8 pm though we watch Andy Griffith. We also love MASH and Hogan's Heroes. Whenever I can catch it on I watch my all time favorite show I Love Lucy.

They just don't make shows like they used to. For some reason vulgarity is considered funny and physical comedy is a thing of the past.

The Lone Ranger has always been my favorite western, both on TV and (old time) radio. Recently, I've taken a liking to Have Gun, Will Travel and The Life and Times of Wyatt Earp.
