Two kinds of laws?

In the OT the penalty for law breaking was that your neighbors would inflict punishment. In the NT the penalty for law breaking is that God will inflict punishment in the next life?

Two Gospels.

One to save you from your neighbor - the other to save you from the second death.

In Heb 11 -we see OT saints saved under the ONE Gospel.

In the case of Elijah, Enoch and Moses - we have OT saints taken to heaven - (2 of them without even dying) fully forgiven. Saved from the 2nd death.

In Christ's ministry pre-cross Christ said "your sins ARE forgiven".

in the OT - we find the New Covenant.

Christ said of Abraham "Abraham saw MY day and was Glad".

Peter said that the prophets of old "had the Spirit of Christ IN THEM speaking of the future sufferings of Christ AND the glories to follow".

Heb 11 states that Abraham was looking for a heavenly country - not earthly rewards or inheritance.

Paul says in Heb 4:1-2 that "WE have had the Gospel preached to US just as THEY also".

In 1Cor 10 - Paul says that they all drank water from the same spiritual ROCK "and that Rock was Christ".

Turns out - there is only ONE Gospel.

in Christ,

Bob

There is only one gospel.
If any man preach another gospel let him be accursed (said Paul in Gal.1).
