Yes. There was a curfew that just came into effect and people now in the area were in violation of the law. I understand you do not want laws to be enforced, but I think that they should.

Yeah, and after there is a hearing with the video as evidence they will be reinstated. (At least they should be).

As far as the Covid restrictions, just look at them now, being violated by the very tyrants who imposed them on their states. "People need to keep their distance and people need to wear their masks" said Gov. Wolfe of NJ and Whitmer of Michigan to name two, and there they were out "protesting" with no distancing and with people not wearing masks. Proof positiveView attachment 3901 that their shutdown was purely political.

Was he rioting or attacking them? Oh there was a curfew. Guess it’s open season then. Why do they need to attack him in the first place. Serving and protecting. I’m so thankful for their protection and service here.

From the link: "saying Gugino is "a longtime peaceful protester, human rights advocate,"

Sounds like someone who knows the tricks of the trade -
Previous posts have mention "excuses"
But the video is quite telling - I am of the opinion that the man
purposely "stumbled" and another comment was that he did receive medical
aid prior to the ambulance arriving.

Right now, the police are on the defensive - regardless of what they do - its going to be wrong!

Or more properly a longtime rabble rouser and anti-government activist. Some people just do not know when it's time to retire from the game and let the younger folks have a go.

I like how in the Floyd video it was all “let’s wait for the facts, see the whole video, wait for the autopsy, let’s dig up his personal history” and now its just people twisting what’s right in front of them on video to meet their world view. When it conflicts with what you want to believe, you all demand a smoking gun, but I’ve noticed the lengths of mental gymnastics you go through to make peace with their own worldview. It’s quite easy to spot.

So let’s just take away his constitutional rights.

Mind reading. By definition, people who practice it know everything.

There was a little story about his longtime activism that I read and this is the first time he got hurt. Looks like his luck finally ran out.

As so old a man, he shouldn't have been shoved. Manhandled for reaching down on the officer, yes. But shoving elderly people is dangerous. That is only a split second lapse of judgment though. The real problem is that they don't check on the man and only call in paramedics. One officer stops the other from checking on the guy.
There was an immediate call for aid, and others were rendering aid within 15 seconds. Paying attention while the video plays will clearly reveal this.

Also, there was at least one person being detained at the same time in the same vicinity. Coordinated action to maintain the situation was required.

No. Baseless charges that this cop used excessive force needs to be countered with the truth. The video is clear, there was no "hard shove" by the cop. The old man stumbled as he was moving backwards.
This incident is a bit strange. The guy appears to have a helmet, yet he is not wearing it. Why the helmet? Why not wear it? A helmet in the hand should be viewed as a weapon. But let's look at it from "the victim's" perspective.

Q: Why did you have a helmet?

A: I knew that the protesters were dangerous.

Q: But weren't you protesting?

A: Yes, but I'm an exception.

Q: Why did you take off your helmet?

A: Because I wanted to talk to the police.

Q: The ones you're protesting for using brutality?

A: Yes, but they're racist against blacks; I'm white.

Q: So, there was no police brutality in your case?

A: Well, evidently, I'm an exception.

Q: Thus you disobeyed police when others left?

A: Yes, but I'm old and have cancer.

Q: So you told them your age and condition?

A: No, but they should have known.

Q: How? Perhaps you are being unreasonable?

A: Hmm. I never thought about it.

Q: So, you're a progressive leftist, right?

A: Yes, how could you tell?

The unexceptional "I never thought about it."
