    Baptized at North Jackson Baptist Church, Jackson, Tennessee, April 1947.

    Last fall, I dropped by that church one day and the church secretary showed me a ledger which recorded the date of my baptism. The ledger also showed that my mother, who was inactive, joined the same church by letter on the same day.

    In my old church, in 1999. Took me a long time to get from accepting Jesus (in high school, way back in the Dark Ages of the 70's) to being baptized. :eek:
