Dress shoes with blue jeans. I have noticed that blue jeans are worn more and more in church services these days. I like to go in shirt and tie… But will also wear blue jeans along with a nice light weight jacket. I have been trying to determine the best shoes to go with blue jeans and have noticed that no two shoes are alike with this type dress. Dress shoes with blue jeans… Any ideas? Thanks!

Sorel shoes are comfortable, casual and slip on. The conventional penny loafer again slips on… I prefer the color black with the color blue. Even driving shoes, though more dress they can be used… I have a Florsheim pair. I avoid sneakers just because I’m not prepared to go totally casual yet… maybe because I dressed for church so long that …:)

Boots are still another option…. You then can be a cowboy. However Landsend has one that’s mid ankle and pull on (I hate HATE tying anything). I use these boots on rain & snow days.

No oxfords. I like casual type lace up dress shoes with jeans. Lighter colors (I don't like black for jeans). Loafers are good too. Also, nice jeans (I think darker jeans look better with dress shoes).

I like these deep, thought provoking threads! lol

The only people looking at shoes in church are women.

Blue jeans are casual - wear whatever’s comfortable.

Jeans are also dated.
Kacki’s are today’s blue jeans.

My work requires steel toes and sometimes I go in with shirt and tie after a church service. So I went with these. Not quite the pink slipper clogs with polka dot purple socks. Still, though, I will wear these with a, "you should have went with the dress pants" in the back of my mind.

Well nothing against those that go in blue jeans but I dress up for church... Now if you come to church from work that's a different thing... Thought maybe I would show up for church, in a robe and sandals but then I changed my mind... In Southern California, I did attend a church by invite near a beach, where the body of the congregation including the preacher was in shorts, t-shirts and sandals, with surfboards propped up in the back... "Dude"!... Brother Glen;)

I don’t like shorts in church. I have never worn them. Men ought to look better AND not put flesh on parade in the house of God.

Regarding jeans, the price of “cheap” suits is now about $800 and they’re made overseas.

I iron my jeans and I do have some dress pants and sport coats from years back that I wear, so they’re almost suits.

I believe it was Saint Jerome who said, "When in Rome do as the Romans." I have always remembered that when visiting other churches. And, on topic with this thread, "When in Rome dress as the Romans." But... There are limits on sloppiness. I have visited churches where it looks like they came in their bedroom clothes. Now... I am not going to say anything to them, but inside I will be thinking, "My gosh! What sloppy dress!"

Canvas All-Stars are a must with any and all blue jeans.
Now, you can mix it up with colors and either hi or lo top, but any other shoe is entirely forbidden by order of Levi Strauss.

Any saved, child of God knows that you wear tennis shoes with jeans, khakis, corduroy, tuxes etc

it’s what Jesus wore, if it’s good enough for Him then it’s just plain good enough

btw, He wore Chuckie Taylor high tops in different colors, I choose to wear leather mostly white - New Balance, Nike etc

The Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church in the 1960s... All nice shoes!

Any church I attend post Covid.... All shoes are different! I don't know if the same two wear the same style these days. Now I am not saying shoes have anything at all to do with salvation. But it is just amazing to me to see the difference in dress over time.

You need a men's version of these to go with the blue jeans. I have a pair of boots that are a little different but the same shape and color as these. The ones I have don't have the embroidery. And they look AMAZING with my pair of dark blue jeans.

I promise you will feel great with this look. You will look handsome, sexy, and you will worship God with confidence and joy that you never knew you possessed. :)

It feels like I just did a commercial! Lol:D
