Yes they are. That land was promised to the Jews to be an eternal possession. No other nation in the world has been scattered over the earth and then brought back to inhabit their original land except for Israel. God promised it to the Jews and He will keep His promise. At the present time, they are still rejecting their Messiah, but they won't forever and God is drawing them back to their land where they will eventually turn to Christ and be saved. And there has always been a remnant in the land of Israel, from Abraham until present day, no matter who ruled over them.
So are the Jews outside of Israel heirs to God's promise - or is it just the nation established in 1948?
I contend that God's promises are to all Jews, not just those who are part of a political entity.
I will not 'curse' the Jews., but I am not going to support any state just because some people think that they are the true Israel of the Bible. I don't think we can equate this current political entity with the nation of Abraham and the people of David.
Beside, this is one view of eschatology, one that I hold to, but many godly men differ and I don't want US policy based on my view of future events.
