Uh oh: We just learned WHY Director Comey reopened the FBI Hillary case…

James Comey’s decision to revive the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server and her handling of classified material came after he could no longer resist mounting pressure by mutinous agents in the FBI, including some of his top deputies, according to a source close to the embattled FBI director.

‘The atmosphere at the FBI has been toxic ever since Jim announced last July that he wouldn’t recommend an indictment against Hillary,’ said the source, a close friend who has known Comey for nearly two decades, shares family outings with him, and accompanies him to Catholic mass every week.

‘Some people, including department heads, stopped talking to Jim, and even ignored his greetings when they passed him in the hall,’ said the source. ‘They felt that he betrayed them and brought disgrace on the bureau by letting Hillary off with a slap on the wrist.’

According to the source, Comey fretted over the problem for months and discussed it at great length with his wife, Patrice.

He told his wife that he was depressed by the stack of resignation letters piling up on his desk from disaffected agents. The letters reminded him every day that morale in the FBI had hit rock bottom.

‘He’s been ignoring the resignation letters in the hope that he could find a way of remedying the situation,’ said the source.

‘When new emails that appeared to be related to Hillary’s personal email server turned up in a computer used [her close aide] Huma Abedin and [Abedin’s disgraced husband,] Anthony Weiner, Comey jumped at the excuse to reopen the investigation.

‘The people he trusts the most have been the angriest at him,’ the source continued. ‘And that includes his wife, Pat. She kept urging him to admit that he had been wrong when he refused to press charges against the former secretary of state.

But Comey’s decision to reopen the case was more than an effort to heal the wound he inflicted on the FBI.

He was also worried that after the presidential election, Republicans in Congress would mount a probe of how he had granted Hillary political favoritism.

So he's a weak man who caved to political pressure to try to help the GOP even though his position is supposed to be non-political.

The crown on his head wouldn't be so heavy if he had stuck to his original conclusion and tradition and law on how the justice department is supposed to behave in lieu of elections.

That crown might cost him more than he wanted to pay.

Comey is getting so much criticism from all sides, Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, Conservatives ... I am beginning to wonder if this will end up helping Hillary.

It has opened up an unto now silent topic, Trump's connections to Russia and Putin.

It's possible that Democrats complacent about Hillary (read: Sanders supporters) who were not going to vote will now perceive the unthinkable possibility that Trump could actually win. That would motivate huge "swatches" of Democratic voters to go out and vote for Hillary.

That is a distinct possibility. It has not been a stellar week for Trump news wise.

No, he succumbed to the pressure brought by the Clinton's and the White House to stone wall the investigation and recommend a "no prosecution" finding even though there was ample evidence she broke the law regarding classified material and that she also lied under oath.

Then, with the support of his fellow Law Enforcement Professionals, he found the courage to do the right thing and reopen the investigation. The Weiner emails gave him the credible reason to continue the investigation.

Good for him. Better late than never.

The only problem was his "no reasonable prosecutor" jazz......that was not good.

I believe that is wishful thinking on your part. All the polls are telling a different story. Time for you to say the polls are being biased.[emoji6]

Ted and I seldom agree ... but on this we are one in the same frame of mind. He had to find a path back to credibility, and a loose weiner pointed him in that direction.

I like the way you think!!!......or do what Putin did, blow up a big apartment complex and then halt the election (ah process:Sick) till they install someone (ANYONE) qualified to run the place.:Ninja Put a stick up Paul Ryan's arse to run, or bring back Scott Walker, or pray that Trump makes it and in a month impeach him and put in Pence.......heck anyone is appealing to these two miscreants!!!
