The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, "the U.K.'s largest independent Christian publisher, has announced plans to adapt Eugene Peterson's The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language, first published by NavPress in 2003, for U.K. readers. The new edition will bring Peterson's American English into British English."

"Rob Hare, Bible publisher for SPCK Group, said he sees two target audiences for the 'revitalized, Anglicised' edition at a time when Bible sales are at record heights in the U.K. There are people who already love the U.S. version....But SPCK is also eyeing "many new readers of the Bible, particularly young men, particularly young Gen Z people, who, hopefully, will embrace The Message"

"Olivia Eldredge, who edited The Message Bible for NavPress, said in SPCK's announcement that with this U.K. version, Peterson will 'become a pastor for the world'."
