Ukraine’s top opposition party banned

:"In 2021, polls showed that it (the banned party) surpassed President Volodymyr Zelensky’s ‘Servant of the People’ as the most popular party."

So what does a president do when another contender is more popular? If you are Zelensky you imprison him in an undisclosed location. This is the thug we are supporting.

"In its Facebook post, the ministry noted that Ukrainian courts have so far banned 11 so-called “pro-Russian” parties suspected of acting to “undermine the sovereignty” of the country."

And this is the "democracy" we are defending?

While it is important, and required by due diligence, to hear both sides of a dispute, sometimes, like the ravings of "Baghdad Bob," they need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Life in our fallen world often requires us to choose the lesser of two evils, rather than withhold our support because neither side is to our liking. Russia invaded Ukraine and not the other way around. Nearly 200 Ukrainian young people are dying every day due to the Russian military attack.

I notice that you're quoting the very democratic Russia Today

Haha. I was just waiting for someone to make that comment. Why discuss the merits or validity of the topic when you can just sneer and move on?

The real question here, then, is why do we find this story here in RT and not MSM?
Do you doubt the facts here?
Are they outright lies?
If not, are you , MM, comfortable with supporting such a leader?

And, no, RT is not democratic. I know of no media outlet that is. Do you?

Another one-sided observation. What about the attacks from the Kiev government for over eight years before the Russian response?Good grief, do some studying.

We do agree that there are two evils here, Zelensky and Putin. I would say the lesser evil is Putin. That just shows how low the West has sunk, and their installed dictator puppet, Zelensky.

Russian invaded Ukraine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your false flag argument reflects gullibility not study.

How many demonstrators in Russia were detained? 50? 500? 5000?

So far no one is responding to the points of the article. I expected that. "Locking up the opposition in an undisclosed location. Meh. Who cares?"

I expected better from you, Van. I thought you were better than this. Putting you on ignore, hoping someone will answer on topic.

For the record: I wish we had the America I grew up believing in back in the 50s and 60s. Although I now know that a good part of that was just veneer, still we had reason to be proud of our country. I get the feeling that many people just have this cognitive blind spot when it comes to the US, and will not accept constructive criticism. That is toxic patriotism, the worst kind.

What about Crimea in 2014? Zelinsky hasn't been in office for 8 years. I cannot find and answer to the specific reasons given for Keiv bombing Russia. The credibility issue for Russia is that Russian is so much bigger and powerful. If bombs are coming out of Kiev then it begs the question why?

The lesser of two evils is still evil and neither should be defended. Ukraine has been known for its corruption for years and Zelinsky is supposedly trying to clean things up. We now have a president who has been involved in the corruption over there. I don't know all the details of what is true of either side but I will not defend either one.

You ae the expert on sneering. I do not comment in advance of the facts, and facts are what you are unlikely to get from R.T. which is simply the mouthpiece of the Putin Government.
Ukraine is involved in a struggle for its very existence. If this nameless politician is trying to create a fifth column within the country, then Zelensky may well have felt he had no choice. As I say, I don't know all the facts so I can neither approve or disapprove of his actions

In Britain, in WW! and WW2, all political party strife ended and Parliament went into Coalition until the war was won. .

The USA and Britain are simply clearing the information and political field to continue the war with Russia in Ukraine. Amateurs in geopolitics and simply uninformed people continue to claim that Russia attacked Ukraine. Russia warned Ukraine's military operation in the Donbas, which was being prepared for March 8. If Russia had not struck first, the genocide of the people of Donbass by the American-Bandera authorities would have entered its final stage on March 8. In addition, the US-Bandera administration in Kyiv publicly expressed territorial claims to the western regions of Russia. Therefore, either amateurs or interested parties can talk about Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

The Bible says, "...the loue of money is the root of all euill" (1 Tim. 6:10) (KJV1611AV)

No need to ban them in Russia. Putin poisons his opposition, imprisons protestors etc.

peace to you

This is not an either/or situation. It should be neither/nor. Just because I criticize our support of Zelensky doesn't mean I'm arguing for supporting Putin. We shouldn't be involved at all.

We bomb our opposition with Shock and Awe. We imprison political prisoners called Jan 6 Republicans. We also use Ukrainian ground forces, including nazis, and sacrifice their citizens to bleed Russia. Bid0n knows he can never beat Russia in Ukraine, but he can bleed Russia. By the way, when did you find out that bid0n can not make Russia leave Ukraine? And why is he sacrificing Ukrainians to bleed Russia?

But the US is involved. The US signed an agreement with Ukraine , Russia and other nations in the 1990’s, that if Ukraine gave up its nukes, Russia would recognize/respect its borders and the US and other nations would help them if Russia violated the agreement.

The US is keeping its word according to that agreement.

Personally, I would have preferred Ukraine keep its nukes and the US stay out of it.

One remedy would have been to put the nukes back into Ukraine after Russia violated the agreement when they took Crimea. That would have been the best deterrent against Putin.

peace to you

The Ukrainians are in charge of their own country and it’s fight against Russia aggression. It is simply nonsense to suggest US politicians have some sort of mind control over Ukrainians to force them to fight Russians rather than welcome Russian “liberation” against white nationalist.

Scott Ritter is clearly not an unbiased source. I followed a couple of your links to his comments. They are filled with blatant lies and Russian propaganda.

peace to you
You are mistaken. Turns out he is the only credible source before and after gulf war 2. He was right, b0sh and bid0n and clint0n were wrong, Scott Ritter was proven right. He preached the truth, and everyone (including me), were telling lies and decieving Americans to go to war over weapons of mass destruction, which Iraq didn't have. All our best search teams came up empty handed, and Bush will tell you to this day, he was wrong. That's good that he admitts it. How many Iraqi citizens did we kill in shock and awe? For no good reason. Bush and bid0n ought to be put in jail over it. Ok maybe I should to because I supported Bush. I suppose I am am guilty of being fooled by thebush administration.
