Ukrainian missile hits bus in Kherson, killing 5

There is something seriously wrong with that photograph.

According to the story, the bus was hit by a missile while shelling a bridge (which indicates that the writer doesn’t understand military technology very well since ‘shelling’ involves firing shells from a cannon, howitzer or mortar - depending on the arc the gun fires - while missiles are self-propelled and typically high explosive).

That “bus” was destroyed where it sits (look at the debris around it - it wasn’t towed) but that is not on a bridge. There isn’t a bridge in sight.

I am skeptical that ten people were on that bus and 5 survived with only moderate wounds. Were they wearing body armor on the commute into work?

I think we have one story with photographs from something else.

I can believe that a bridge was shelled or even attacked with a missile barrage and that civilians on that bridge were wounded or killed. That is typical of a war zone and always sad. Bridges have always been important military targets in war. It is how the “enemy” moves supplies and military equipment.

The photo is likely a stock photo. That is not the issue. There were other sites with the same story. I just grabbed that one because it was convenient.

The khaleejtimes, Tass, RuTube, Reuters, and several others have the same story, some with further details. Khaleejtimes has a totally different bus, so one or both of those outlets used stock photos.

We, the United States of America started this war and we are funding it. Our government is a warmongering one. All of Congress voted to finance this war. We do not even over see the 68 billion dollars that we give to the Ukrainians, the most corrupt country in Europe. Our dollars buys war that kills many, many Ukrainians and some Russians. The fact is more Ukrainians die than Russians by a significant amount shows that our leadership doesn't give one darn about Ukraine. We are using them as cannon fodder against the Russians. After WW2 we became the warmongers after Great Britain and France. We are behind all wars going on this globe. I wonder what God thinks of our warmongering by the Congressional Military Complex? How we make war for money, sacrificing human beings so the Congressional Military Complex, billionaires owned munitions companies, investers can make big money. Blood money.

Ask yourselves, did our government give one dern about the Afghan people? If so why did we lose the war? We stayed there how long fighting? We left why? The ones we were fighting are now back in control of their country once again. We are still supporting war there, because we want caos . Can't have oil shipped through there.the Lybians are still devastated. We killed more Iraqis than Sadam Hussein ever did. We are never going to learn our lesson it seems. Aren't we suppose to be Christians ? Our leaders sure aren't. Their warmongers. Why do we still warmonger? So the rich can become even richer? Congress hasn't made enough money yet? Why do we support so much war? Because the rich get richer through war.

That's a redeemable feature of Trump. He didn't like war. Clint0ns, bushes ,obam0s, bidons do. We gotta quit funding, starting, and backing wars!

The link also provides a short video clip showing a bombed out van truck along with the bus. The significance isn’t at all clear from that. If one were to incorporate Russian-style propaganda, then obviously the Russians did it themselves and blamed it on Ukraine and the West. It would certainly fit their MO.

But real collateral damage is inevitable in such a conflict. Doesn’t make it acceptable, just the reality. This is even rather minor in comparison to so much that has happened.

Putin is to blame for this all-out war. He is an ideological totalitarian hardliner bent on having Ukraine under his rule. To slightly interpret his position, that is, to state it truthfully, “…true independence for Ukraine is possible only through total dependence on Russia.”

You are wrong. The United States is to blame for this war. We started it because we are conquers and want Ukraine and Russia as our prize. But Putin and Bricks+ resist us and our brutal dictatorship through war and conquest, then abandonment of the countries that we pillaged. Or rather the continued caos we hold them down by. The world, not you see's what we are doing to Ukraine/Russia and have formed an alliance against us. Russia, China, Iran, Brazil, India plus other nations who want to join. Russia's very survival is at stake, and the other nations know that if Russia falls or is reduced to a pauper state THEY are next on the list. What fruit have we born in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, the Arab uprisings. Ukraine/Russia. Europe. We are making them pay extra for our gas and have cut off their cheap Russian gas. Shouldn't that be illegal? Russian supplied 70 percent of gas to Germany and the rest of Nato. But we want to cut the Russians out and sell our gas to the Europeans for a lot more than what they pay for cheap (inexpensive) gas. Thats why we made Germany cut off Nordstrom 2 2 days before it was ready to open. This was well before Russia's Special Military Operation, when Russia jumped first ahead of Ukraines NATO trained army's planned invasion of the Russian speaking Donbass region. Guess why sanctions are hurting Europe. They have to buy more expensive gas from us, or third parties like India paying more for the what would be cheap Russian gas. Russia is actually raking it in. Their now selling much more to Asia than before. Its the very reason we will keep Afghanistan down. So no Russian pipelines can go threw the strategical located country between Russia and western Asia. This war is about who gets to sell gas to Europe, the pillaging of Ukraine by Western Billionaires and bleeding Russia and its downfall. We are the guilty ones who started this war. We are the ones that will not allow Ukrainian/Russian peace deal to happen, even though it's clear to our leadership Ukraine can never ever win against Russia. We are willing to let great numbers of Ukrainians to be sacrificed just to weaken Russia. That has got to be a sin.

Why is Russia threatening to retaliate for Ukrainian military advances with Tactical Nuclear weapons if it is so ”obvious” Ukraine can never win against Russia?

It's not. That is western propaganda. Lying. Russia never threatened Nukes. It was brought up because the British lady first used the term first. Putin only responded to the west. Don't believe cnn, msnbc, bbc, such people. They never quote what Putin actually said, but lie. bidon knows. Ukraine can never push the Russians out. They will only lose more territory, more men, more lives. Think about it for a minute.

Russia's Special Military Operation contained only 200,000 men. They beat a Ukrainian Army of 700,000 men all day long. Up until recently, when the new NATO Ukrainian Army equiped and Trained and lead by NATO (United States of America) came in with an American planned attack and caught the Russians flat footed and napping, who were at a pause. They were no longer the old Ukrainian Army, which was mostly defeated, taking horrific losses, but a Western NATO Army, and they caught the Russians napping. They bought the faint to the south, Ukraine threw in so many men, the Russians bought the attack and responded with reinforcements, but NATO attacked from the north where the Russians troops were spread so thin there were huge gaps in their lines. NATO officers took advantage of the Russian weakness and had success. Now to meet this new NATO led Army the Russians clearly need additional troops, which will be available in the future. The Russians went in with kid gloves on and were mopping up meeting the limited goals of the Special Military Operation. That has now changed, and if Russia expands the special military operation with the reinforcements what can NATO do now that Russia will have enough troops? They will do nothing but send waves of Ukrainians to die. Even if we wish it were not so, that is what is going to happen. The United States doesn't care if 6 or 7 Ukrainians die for every 1 or 2 Russians. Our goal is to hurt Russia so they cannot oppose us in the future.

LOL, the US started this war! So, when did we invade Ukraine and bomb cities?
Is every instance where the US encourages freedom from Russia an instance where the US started the war?
Honestly, it seems you have cut out the white and the blue in the US flag so you can promote the Reds.

Why would Russian news use a stock photo for a story like this? Why would anyone accept such use as legitimate?

Is that arguing that Putin has the right to take any measures necessary to wield control over Ukraine economically?
