Understanding John 1:12-13

Ever wonder why the same false claims are made over and over, but never once do the false claimers address the rebuttal scripture.

Lets take the false claim about a person who is dead in their sin. Calvinism falsely claims they are unable to seek God or trust in Christ because they are dead. However, when we consider Matthew 23:13, we see people who are "dead in their sin" actually in the process of entering the kingdom of heaven. But, false teachers prevent them from going in. So, first, the claim "dead in their sin" people are unable to seek God is a material false statement. Second, those entering were NOT being compelled by "Irresistible Grace" because they were prevented from completing their entry.

Yet another bogus off topic post addressing me. No one is regenerated until they are transferred into Christ, thus they are made alive (regenerated) together with Christ, Ephesians 2:5. I have gone over this point many times, but not one Calvinist even addresses this truth.
How is it bogus ? I showed you from the OT scriptures Ezk 36:26-27

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Its God that causes one to approach Him Ps 65:4

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

God causes or draws us near, and notice also its His chosen, elect

On and on, now misrepresenting "of My sheep" as it it did not point to the fields white for harvest, is the bogus claim.
Again Jesus makes it plain, if you were a sheep you would believe in me and follow me and hear my voice. So hearing believing and following Jesus Christ is a benefit and effect of being His Sheep that He lay down His Life for Jn 10:15. All this maneuvering you doing to change the text isnt good.

The above claims are complete baloney, totally made up, invented claims, found no where in scripture.

1) The people rejecting Christ were not My sheep, but were sheep without a shepherd. The unstudied claim everyone at conception is already a goat or a sheep is pure malarkey. People are separated into categories similarly to shepherds separating sheep and goats AFTER physical death, not before.

2) And folks, note how this poster implies John 10:15 refers to "My sheep" where it refers to "the sheep" which refers to the lost without a shepherd. Recall 2 Peter 2:1 where Christ purchased the person headed for destruction.

3) As you can see, folks, this poster has stopped all discussion of this:

John 1:12-13 NASB

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God.

Here is my interpretation:

"As many as received Him" refers to "those who believe in His (Christ's) name. Thus they accepted as truth their understanding of gospel of Christ. But in addition, the determination that they had "received Him," and not another gospel, indicates God's acceptance of their understanding and commitment to Christ.

"He gave the right to become" refers to God crediting the person's faith as righteousness based on His determination. Only those whose faith He credits as righteousness are given "right" to become born anew children of God.

This spiritual rebirth was not physical rebirth, of blood, and was not initiated by human lust or will, but by God alone.

The close coupling of receiving the right to become, and being born by the will of God indicates a rapid sequence of events, with no discernible delay between receiving the right (under the New Covenant) and becoming a spiritual child of God.

Thus, when 2 Thessalonians 2:13 says God chooses individuals for salvation, the idea is God chooses them by transferring them spiritually into Christ. That is why the verse could be translated as God choosing individuals "into salvation."

Jn 1:12-13 agrees, those are the Sheep that believed because they had been born of God. Jesus spoke about them in Jn 10:14-16

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Jesus sheep received Him because they had been born again and could hear their Shepherds voice So again Jn 1:12-13 the believers were His regenerated Sheep.

Quoting John 1:14-15 presents two different groups, His sheep, those who have been transferred into Christ, and "the sheep" which refers to fallen humanity, for which He laid down His life. This distinction is flatly ignored by Calvinists presenting false doctrine based on misrepresenting the word of God.

Ditto for John 1:26-27, where "of My sheep" is presented as if it referred to the same group as "My sheep" Obviously "My sheep" are those already saved with eternal life, and those who are "of My sheep" are the fields white for harvest, not yet saved, but open to God's word and thus possessing the opportunity to "believe into Him." John 3:16.

Its unfortunate you feel this way about the truth
Yet another deflection, addressing me and not the correct presentation of the word of God.
