It's my $.02 that the economy would be in a much more noticeable recovery had the federal government left it alone and not engaged in bailout programs.

Unemployment rate rises to 9.8% as employers cut more jobs than expected

A net 263,000 jobs were eliminated in September, pushing the jobless rate to a 26-year high. The rate of unemployment plus underemployment -- representing workers whose hours were cut back -- is 17%.

But Joe Biden has declared Obama's plan a success.

You know, if I had the slightest idea how to use Photoshop, I'd make a picture of Lord Barry wearing a flight suit, standing in front of an unemployment office with a bit "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner behind him.

Comes of having a stimulus plan that was full of pork instead of stimulus.

But that's not the whole story...

All told, 15.1 million Americans are out of work – twice as many as at the start of the recession. Counting laid-off workers who have settled for part-time work or just given up, the unemployment rate is 17 percent, the highest on record since 1994.

The September unemployment rate would have been higher – perhaps over 10 percent – if not for the exodus of 571,000 people from the work force, economists said. Many of them were so frustrated over a lack of work that they simply abandoned the search.

Why is it that no one is making a bigger deal about Obama the Wise's claims of where the unemployment rate would be if we did not do the bailout....and the rate if we did...

Of course, the rate is much higher than Obama the Wonderful said it would...

What a liar.
