Greetings, brethren. I'm a United Baptist elder from
Kentucky. I serve as moderator of one church and assistant moderator of another, and I'm a member of the Paint Union Association of United Baptists and the J.H. Spencer Historical Society. By trade I'm a construction engineer, and I farm a little on the side. I'm a husband and a father.

I read and preach from the King James Bible. My convictions are believer's baptism, congregational polity, and the perseverance of the saints. On salvation, I hold that fallen man is truly unable to answer the gospel on his own, that God gives real enabling grace through the Word, and that faith is then the sinner's own grace-enabled act. I also hold that God inhabits eternity and knows all things in one timeless present, which is where I'll likely be asking the most questions. On the end times I'm amillennial.

Greetings and thank you for providing a clear presentation of your beliefs. Sadly, I do not share many of them. Here are my areas of disagreement.
If you care to open a thread to discuss any of them, I will try to support my differing views biblically.

1) I believe in the Preservation of the Saints, not the Perseverance of the Saints.
2) I believe fallen unregenerate people can understand spiritual milk, but not spiritual solid food, so they do not need to be enabled to understand the gospel.
3) We agree that our faith is our own, but disagree that it merits salvation. Only when and if God credits the person's faith as righteousness does He transfer the individual spiritually into Christ's spiritual body.
4) My view is God can know all things, but has chosen NOT to know some things. This view is called "Inherent Omniscience."
5) I am a "pre-wrath millennialist.

Glad to have you.
But I do have a question.
You say that you are moderator of one church and asst mod of another.

So is moderator another term for pastor - or is that term more of a legal office (Ie president?)
and you mentioned two churches - ??

TIA
