It's just as rational as accepting credits from a person who thinks otherwise.billwald said:I suppose California should accept science and history credits from a person who thinks the universe was created in 4004 BC?
The chances of anyone making "upper management" are statistically slim. That's why it's called "upper." It is for those who have advanced. But it has nothing to do with having a biblical worldview. That sounds like the typical thought processes that come from public education where thinking it not actually taught. As long as you are satisfied for you kids to be (on the average) blue/white collar working class people, then stay with your "Biblical world view." Their chances of making upper management are statistically slim.
All I can say to you, m'friend, is that I pity you if what you say here is truly your belief!billwald said:As long as you are satisfied for you kids to be (on the average) blue/white collar working class people, then stay with your "Biblical world view." Teach from a secular textbook but instruct the students when there are legitimate points of disagreement. If these kids are planning to go to state universities, they're going to get the secular perspective there. Why not interact with it in a critical manner while still in high school?

You should see that movie by Ben Stein on this topic. It's probably not in the theaters anymore but maybe on DVD? I can't think of the title at the moment, but it's excellent.
StefanM said:This is within a private Christian school context. I HIGHLY doubt that a teacher would be fired for teaching an Christian alternative view of origins if that institution previously used BJU Press materials or the like.
