Larry...I didn't tell you to do anything. I just said "why don't you?". Excuse me for making a good suggestion. You're not the internet sheriff but that is no reason you cannot stand up like a Christian and tell them they are wrong. Hey, everyone does that on here no problem.

Oh, so you're just suggesting that anyone who disapproves should contact the site to express that. That I can understand. Why didn't you then address that suggestion to the BB members at large, rather than just apparently to me? It sure seems that you singled me out, for reasons still unclear to me.

How would anyone possibly infer from that statement that you had furthur contacted the operator(s) of the site to express your opinion of the site? Such an action is neither explicitly stated nor even implicitly implied.

I think you're simply upset with me for showing conclusively that the website is a parody, following your post from yesterday (quoted above) in which you expressed your belief that the site isn't a parody.

Please explain this to me: You say this morning that you've previously contacted the site to express your opinion of it, but yet up until yesterday you thought the site was for a real church (again please see your quote above). What then exactly had you contacted them for previously? If up until yesterday you thought the site was for a real church, you wouldn't have been contacting them because you thought the site was some type of crude attempt at humor. Something just doesn't add up.

 

Good grief! It takes about 10 seconds at this site for anyone with a reasonable amount of intelligence to see that it's a parody...it's a joke...it's satire...it's humor (although it's in extremely poor taste. No, after looking at it again, it's more than that. It's vulgar, insensitive, and full of lies). That being said, there's still this think called "free speech", and I don't think that complaining to the owners of this website will do anything more than make them smile.

As for your last argument, that complaining would do nothing more than make the owners smile. Would you take that logic to the issue of abortion? Complaininig to abortion doctors would do nothing more than make them call you a nut.

Oh...and your "good grief" comment is not needed...if we have free speech. Just to let you know though...there is no such thing as free speech. That's an illusion that you have been brainwashed into believing. Your "free speech" ends where my rights begin. And if there were "free speech" you could not be banned from this site.

Sorry if that bothered you....I guess I've read too many Peanuts comics in my day. What I meant was "I can't believe somebody actually thinks this is a real Church website".

Anyway, if you think I don't believe in standing up for what's right, you're wrong. I've probably contacted more companies, congressmen, and senators in the last few years than anyone else I know. I just don't think this stupid website is worth getting all worked up about. If there were advertisers on this website, you could contact them and ask them to stop advertising there if they still want your business. But I didn't see any "real" ads from "real" companies on there. The whole thing is a big stupid joke and apparently it's being financed by the jokester himself. He apparently delights in offending Christians. So when you write to him and tell him you're offended, guess what? He's happy.

Is it the full moon or what? I took a break from the Board for 5 or 6 days, visited my uncle. When I came back and starting reading some threads, everybody seems to be at each others throats. Why do we always take offense and need to et the last word?

 

I have been wondering the same thing Wally! If you have been reading the same threads I have...it's always the same people who are involved in this petty nitpicking and trying to start fights. Usually we can throw our sarcasm around in these threads and they usually get laughs but now people are getting so offended!

LarryN...the above statement basically says I checked it out. That's what the words "I remember going on" tend to mean.

Now...since you are having a very difficult time comprehending this I will explain it to you (don't know why I have to thouhgh...basically cuz you won't drop the issue). I went on that site before...posted on the message board and said a few choice words on there. I did not know it was a parody and even if I did, it's a tasteless parody so I was STILL right. Therefore I've been on the site and contacted people about it.

Now does it all "add up" to you Sherlock?
