Having served in the TN ANG for almost 20 years, I know for a fact that the areas surrounding airports can be, shall we say, "Not the absolute best ones for raising children," but OTOH, what part of a city is there that's 110+% crime-free 24/7/365-66? As one correctly stated, "The problem with people is.......people!" As long as there's people around you, sooner or later "challenges" will arise. How we deal with these "challenges" will pretty much indicate what sort of person we are. Of course, God's Word & the Holy Spirit should be our guide, but lotsa times I get in the way of myself & want to grab my toys and run away. If your goal is to become a hermit, then you're headed in the right direction. OTOH, if your goal is to be a witness for Jesus as He told us in Acts 1, being isolated from this world's system won't do the trick. We'll decide for ourselves which goal we'll attain. As for me, my goal is to do what He wants me to. The details will probably vary, but I'd prefer to be on the path at whose path ends in Glory with my Savior. The alternative path is a dead end. Right??!!??
