How do we know that Brazil has a legal system that will allow for lawsuits over social distancing?

In Michigan the Governor violated social distancing rules while joining the protests. Maybe she is anti-social or just signed a sheet of paper where someone else wrote the law.

We'll know the new lay of the land in 2 weeks, the incubation period. European and ANZAC (Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada) nations are seeing large Black Lives Matter protests. Their health services are going nuts warning people of the danger of a COVID-19 rebound if they demonstrate.

To be honest, I expect a potential second lock-down in the winter if there is no treatment or vaccine by then, due to a first ever Coronavirus season coupled with other respiratory illnesses flaring.

I would hate to have to go back to phase 1, or worse, if we see huge outbreaks in a couple of weeks.

Fortunately, cases are dropping in number due to warmer weather. It is now thought that people who continued working had a lower rate of infection than those who were locked down by the career politicians who were not worried about people but their own political careers. As you say, they were worried about lawsuits. They were not worried about public health. The politicians joined the rioters in total disregard of their own rules.

Lockdowns don't work. We know that from history and that is the result of this lockdown in this country. It is nuts to quarantine the well instead of the sick. It also caused a spike in illegal narcotic use.

Most of the people who died were the very elderly--over 80 years old or even older. Generally healthy young people just don't die of it.

A lot of people were killed in the riots but I doubt if many become ill because there is no evidence that minorities ever observed the lockdowns in the first place.

No way. Such a large number of Americans will never submit to another lockdown that it won’t happen unless government uses lethal force, and I doubt government will be willing to go that far.

Looks like we already know the answer.

“Missouri’s top health official said there haven’t been any more COVID-19 cases connected to a Memorial Day weekend party at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Videos showing crowds not wearing masks or social distancing made national headlines.“
